So....

Up until very recently we have been getting on famously with pop-in nappies overnight, especially the bamboo with a separate folded bamboo booster.

Maybe I have been living in denial though. If I don't change it within 8 hours it will leak, either at the legs or up the back. The dream-dri's are even worse :dohh: what about the booster that you can buy separately for them, will it work better than my folded booster? I don't really want to faff about with two boosters...

At the moment I am putting him in the nappy at about 11pm when I go to bed and give him a last feed (which is waking him up more than neccessary) and if I don't change him as soon as he wakes up at 7-8 in the morning it will leak so bang goes any lie-in I may want :dohh:

I've heard loads about wee notions and really want to give one a go. But where do I get one from? Is it a custom one off the WN website? Am I being really thick? If so, how does it work? Im so clueless lol!

:flower:

Hiya! we used pop-ins for a while, but i couldnt use them at night time now. The trouble with them is that when u add the night time booster, it fills the nappy far too much & we got gaping at the legs. I moved on to wee notions night notions for night times theyre fab! PLenty of absorbancy. They do need a wrap over the top: ive been using a large motherease wrap. U order them directly from weenotions, or try n keep ur eyes open for some pre-loved ones on "cloth nappy tree" or on the selling boards on here.
hth?

At night we use a hemp Real Easy pocket nappy boosted with a little lamb bamboo insert. Lasts 13/14 hours easily on a baby who still feeds pretty frequently at night

I swore by our WNNNs. I used mine with a wool cover and they never let us down. For a while when Roo was a particularly heavy wetter at night, I replaced the 2nd insert with an EcoEarth bamboo fleece inner, and that seemed to be unbeatable

You order it custom made like any other WN (unless there's an in-stock one you particularly like) but you don't need to add embroidery unless you want to. Mine were blue cuddlesoft inner, lilac velour outer and they washed and wore very well.

We used pop-ins with the night booster up until about 11 months I think. What booster are you using already? The pop-in ones are quite big - they're a two layer square that you fold in three and wrap around the other inserts so if they're bigger than the one you're using now, it might work. They do make the nappy very big - we used the nappy on the highest rise from whenever we started using them (about 3 months old I think) even though LO would have been on the middle rise setting without the booster. When they stopped being absorbent enough we replaced them with WNNNs and never looked back.

It's just a flat bamboo booster (Totsbots I think) and folded in half so it's nearer the front and middle.
He's taking to sleeping on his side alot so it just tends to leak at the legs more.

I think I'll get hold of a pop-in booster first and give that a go before splashing out on WNNNs as I'll need at least two!

Thanks girls x

Even if it doesn't work, the pop-in booster shouldn't be a waste of money cos you could always use it in other nappies :)
