antenatal care what to expect?!

Hey,

Just wondered what to expect from antenatal care. I am currently 8 weeks and ive just received a letter saying my first antenatal appt will be when i am between 11-12 weeks pregnant. This is my first child and the doctor (i posted this previously) stated he had concerns over some medication i took for migraines over the first 5 weeks of pregnancy and yet my appt seems so far away!! Is this normal? So far ive had no urine tests/blood tests/no confirmation of pregnancy...

I was subsequently also sent a screening test booklet and the appt pushes is later than one of the tests with these dates.

Just wanted to check its normal to be seen this late as a firsr appt.

I saw the midwife for the first time yesterday at 11 weeks, but in my first pregnancy I saw her at 9 weeks. I think it varies from area to area x

It does vary from area to area. It all depends on the PCT you're under and what resources they have available.
