Hello, Me and hubby have our first NHS antenatal today its the first of 4 2hr sessions.
Does anyone know what to expect and do i need to take anything with me?

xxx

Mine start on tuesday, not sure what to take but I will be taking a pad of paper and a pen :)

I had 4 2hour sessions too, and we didn't have to take anything at all.

We were told not to take anything, but that we could take a cushion if we wanted to make ourselves more comfortable. They handed out notes/papers to us too, but take a pen along in case you want to make your own notes. Have fun!

I did something similar yesterday but ours was a full day thing rather than split up. I would say def take some paper with you as a lot of information is given.
If you get uncomfy sitting down maybe a pillow but they provided them where mine were done. And actually officially just incase you did go into labour the MW who ran ours said everyone should have had hat notes on them even though i didnt

We didn't have to take anything hun, and didn't need pillows as we sat on seats in the room!! Not sure if they vary from region to region, but I am finding mine brilliant and can't fault the NHS especially as we are getting them for free!! The MW is really helpful, explains everything really thoroughly and lets u ask whatever u want throughout the sessions! Ours wasn't too big of a class either, there's about 7-8 couples and I think thats just about right  x

No fair!!! I only get one 3 hour session...doesn't seem fair that some people get more on the NHS and some get less.

Oh damn that reminds me that I was supposed to book in for a breast feeding workshop! They are closed now.
