So I had nhs scan today, I ask while there where placenta was lying, she said it looks to be at the front! Grrrrrr. So everytime I had one of those was that the baby or wind scenarios it must have been wind lol.
So for those with anterior placentas when did you start feeling your baby move?

21 weeks here until I felt movement that I was sure was baby. Sure you won't have to wait much longer x

I have felt a few kicks and flips and is definitely the baby but only odd kicks in certain places. I had anterior placenta first time as well and I felt around 20 week scan. I think I was just more aware of what kicks would feel like and was quite a weird feeling feeling baby do a flip

I have an anterior placenta too and this is baby no.1 for me. I went to my 20week scan and saw baby flipping around all over the place and still couldn't feel a thing. It was very weird to see them on the screen with jazz hands and not feel a thing. It was very reassuring.
Only at 21 weeks I started to get a little tickle here and there on my tummy and only this week at 23 weeks I've felt what I can say were kicks but only four of them and they were a good day apart! I can also now just start to feel occasional general movement and bumping around.
It's so odd given that I also have a big bump and people think I'm due in a few weeks, errrrmmmm....I haven't really felt anything yet! Oh well, it's a few extra weeks of not being woken in the night, ha, look at the positive.

I could feel tiny stuff on my sides whenever I was sleeping at night. At 19 weeks I started feeling pokes around my belly button, and a kick here and there but on my sides. But the pokes are very tiny, almost unnoticeable

I didnt know I had an anterior placenta until my scan yesterday! But I felt first kicks/movements at 19 weeks x

About 19/20 weeks for me. Baby seems to either like or hate when one of the cats lie against my belly. She always rolls and kicks up a storm, especially if kitty is purring.

I am starting to wonder if my sono tech knew what she was talking about because she said I have an anterior placenta but I felt questionable movements at week 14 and now by week 16 it is FOR SURE baby kicks/movement and that seems really early for anterior! This is about what I experienced w/ my last pregnancy and it wasn't anterior. Or maybe my baby is just a kickboxer? lol

I'm wondering now if I had anterior last time as with my first I felt her at 13 weeks a definite couple of kicks but with second I remember been on holiday at 16 weeks thinking why I hadn't felt anything yet, and it started couple weeks later.

i have just started feeling him properly recently in the past few days so I am thinking 21 weeks. I can even feel him when I'm standing.

I got told I had an anterior placenta, but I know for a fact, I've been feeling baby move now. But I had a friend who didn't feel baby until 26 weeks properly

I have an anterior placenta & first felt a few flutter at 20 weeks that i wasn't sure if it was baby or not but started to feel baby properly at 21-22 weeks. My hubby can now feel baby kicking from the out side. It normally tends to be quite low that I can feel baby and at night when am lay on my back. In the beginning it wasn't every day that I could feel it but its becoming more frequent now :happydance:

Yeh I keep hoping she might have been wrong because she said they don't normally look at this stage but she said she 'thinks' it's at the front. If it moves up as I grow though maybe it'll be a bit more towards the top instead *clutches at straws for earlier movement, lol. It's just a lot more reassuring when you can feel them moving.

When I could definitively say it was baby - 18+4 and this is baby no.2. Anterior placentas suck!

They really do I was gutted when she said that lol.

18 weeks I felt the odd kick, 20 weeks when it became regular

At 20 weeks I felt 'pops'. And since then they've become stronger and more frequent. OH felt one from the outside yesterday :)

I have quite a high anterior placenta. Started feeling movements low down at 19 weeks but only sure that's what they were at 20. At 23 I can see my belly move with them but still only low down. Midwife said that's either to do with placenta or just the position of the baby
