Antibiotics... TMI!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the doctors as I have had ingrown toenails for forever!! And they are infected (sorry TMI!)... I expect he would prescribe me with antibiotics for the infection and then I will get them cut out once its went down. (I have had these for years and I just wnt to get them cut out as it is a pain in the back side so I would like to get it sorted before baby comes).

Is it safe to take antibiotics when pregnant? And if so... Has anyone had any experience of getting ingrown toenails cut out? Does it hurt?

I've had antibiotics. Had them 4 weeks ago and was fine to have. But I did get thrush a week or so after (which is common in pregnancy and after taking antibiotics.

Not too sure about the antibiotics but I have had an ingrown toenail removed twice.. It did hurt afterwards but in hurting cos healing kinda way(if you know what I mean) and not as bad as the ingrown toenail itself.

i was on them for a UTI about a week ago and i've been fine. The doctor gave me one that has been tried and tested on pregnant women and been used for years so he put my mind at ease in that respect.

I had a UTI the other week and the antibiotics were fine so guessing you'l be fine
Also had ingrown toenails last year and i was soo scared for the mini operation they do on the infected toe but it really wasn't even bad i couldnt feel a thing! Depending how bad it is you'l have anesthetic injected into your toe, just makes it numb for a few hours, so don't worry x

I've had antibiotics a coupld of times so far and everything was fine. The doctor gave me one lot that was for kids (which I rather enjoyed as it was a peach flavor mmmmmm!)

I have been taking a course of antibiotics to prevent infection after waters leaked. Just make sure when they are prescribed they are ok to take. A doc would prescribe anything unsafe x x
