Hello ladies
I have noticed several Clomid-related threads on here and am active on several - all are a brilliant source of support and advice. However, I notice that generally speaking, the ladies on them have been prescribed Clomid because they do not ovulate at all on their own, or not very regularly at all.
I wonder if anyone out there is in the same boat as me - and is taking Clomid to bring ovulation forward, or extend their luteal phase - or like me - BOTH!
I don't tend to ovulate until day 25, then get my period only 8-9 days later. However, every 4-5 cycles I have a really long cycle (around 49 days) where I don't ovulate until around day 40.
My fertility specialist reassured me that nothing should be wrong if I'm ovulating on my own and wasn't concerned about the luteal phase - but I feel like I DO need extra support in the form of Clomid (had read it can bring O forward, which in turn can increase progesterone levels and extend the luteal phase) so I'm taking it for the next three cycles. This is the first cycle.
I'm taking 50mg cd2-6 and today is day 7. So far, no real side-effects apart from waking once or twice a night BAKING HOT and having to kick off the duvet (OH has loved that).
xx
