Any ideas on safe herbal remedies to support ovulation with pcos

Hi all,

does anyone have any advice on herbal remedies that can support ovulation with pcos?

I can’t afford £300 a cycle of clomid and want to increase my chances of ovulation on my own with possible help from herbal remedies. NHS waiting list is ridiculous and I’ve been using a private clinic but not likely to afford another medicated round for a few months. It’s soul destroying that my body just won’t ovulate by itself so wondered if any one has used any recommended herbal remedies to help induce ovulation.

Have you ever read about soy isoflavones not sure if it’s spelt right, but I heard they work similar too clomid

Thanks hun I used them ttc my first and they worked. Tried them a few cycles ago and they didn’t. Made me bleed quite heavily. I could always try them again but wondered if there was anything else that anyone could recommend.

You could look into vitex / Chasteberry. I've heard it helps some women, but can also make things worse for others.

@Nimyra thank you. This is something I’m looking into and have got some from Holland and barratt but the dosage seems really low.

do you have any idea on dosage and when they should be taken etc

I don’t know but if you look at Amazon reviews maybe you can find other PCOS women who have positive things to say and maybe they listed their dosage!?
