A quick question rather than google

I had a scan today and explained to the nurse that I had been having reasonable pain my ovary areas. When she did the scan she had my ovaries were quite swollen and had a fair bit of fluid around them. My stomach is huge through bloat.

Anyone have any ideas??

I see you conceived through IVF. Have you ever heard of OHSS? It is a relatively common side effect of IVF due to over stimulation of the ovaries through fertility drugs. Pregnancy can heighten the effect which is great news for the baby as your body is responding well to the HCG but can mean your ovaries get uncomfortable. My friend had it with her twin pregnancy, although hers was quite severe (it is usually mildly uncomfortable).

I hope that's helpful. I could be way off the mark as I'm no medical professional but your symptoms sound quite similar to my friend's. The OHSS didn't affect her pregnancy at all
