Well first of all a big congrats to you! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Hubby & I were trying to conceive for nearly 3 1/2 years before we got our surprise BFP.
He is a cancer survivor and we knew our chances of having a natural conception were greatly decreased because of his treatment.
We decided to stop using birth control and "see what happened"...well about the time life finally settled down (between our wedding, buying a house, etc) we were getting ready to go to the fertility clinic and got our surprise BFP!

I was a month or so from IVF after an m/c in August 2009; we got pregnant naturally in June and am now 16wks+4, so about 18 months+....

Libbylou! Aww...i was near to tears reading your post! How special this little babyis going to be!!! Im glad your dh is still here with you!

I have fallen pregnant 2 months after having a procedure called a hycosy which checks tubes are open....but it can also clear out any blockages...so it MUST have done the trick!!! Only dtd once this cycle! Surprise!!!! Miracles do happen, and dreams really do come true

Yup we were TTC#2{this lil Shamrock} for 5.5 years.After many many failed treatments and a very early loss,we fell pregnant Naturally xoxox

I have been having a revenge attack on Pee Sticks! CAnt help myself!!! Such fun peeing on them and knowing they cant laugh in my face no longer!!! HAha...im crazy

I was trying for almost 2 years, no where near as long as some ladies, but long enough.

Anything longer than a few months can be agonising! Im a very rare case cos i didnt seek any help till late on!

Haaaaaaahaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa ive only stopped(well the odd 1 here and there}and im nearly 10 weeks{i was doing them everyday sometimes twice a say

I think LTTTC generally means longer than a year but I'm sure for everyone after a few months seems long term.
DH and I TTC since 2001. Got my first BFP in July. It's truly a miracle. We had many test and many procedures and were given the unaffordable IVF as our final option last year. We gave up. LOL. Guess that's what it took for us.
I got a kick out of "pee stick revenge". Because I've always been so regular, I never peed on a stick until July when I got the positive. I'd never even bought one. It was super hard not to buy more after that just to see the beautiful BFP over and over again.

YOur not wrong there, TTC is a VERY hard journey!

I had most blood works ran, US to check for PCOS and hubby had SA done. We were just waiting on an appointment with a FS, but due to my weight I wasn't expecting any help.

Did you do anything different this month to previous? I love hearing stories like yours (not that you were struggling but that you succeed), just goes to show when you dont give up you will get there eventually! Inspirational!!!

Lisa...i didnt realise you had been trying so long!!!! You must be delighted!
TBH....this cycle i did less than every other cycle...only dtd once! So was extremely shocked to get bfp!!!
I had a hycosy done in june and it must have cleared some debris away from my tubes!!! The hycosy showed only one clear tube...but i only think it was cleared due to them pushing the dye through!! Im so grateful. My next step was to get a lap and dye done, but i had to lose weight before they would do it.....and id lost all motivation! I was expecting to have to get IVF! And i prayed with all my heart for a natural bfp....but boy this one has taken me by utter surprise! IM SO HAPPY

I can only imagine. I don't think I could do it for 13 years, its such a rough ride, and really emotionally taxing at times. Really chuffed for you.

I'm tempted as well...but then the other half of me is still convinced that the two positives I got were just a mean trick and if I keep peeing on sticks I'll get negatives! (stupid I know, considering all my symptoms!)
