Any mummies have a Jane matrix light?

Do you have problems with it?

Do you mean the car seat??? We got the Jane slalom travel system with the matrix light car seat. (not sure if there is a buggy called the matrix so excuse my ignorance !)
It is more bulky than the typical maxi cosi etc ones but I loved using it on her buggy and she fitted in it until about 10months it's very spacious. We only hit to lie it flat when she was tiny as she hated lying flat after about 2 weeks! :dohh: but nevertheless I love it.
What problems are you having?

I also have the Jane Slalom R system with the matrix light car seat/carrycot. The only problem I have is its no good at 6 months and he was ready to be out of it at 4. When you pay so much you expect better I guess..

What issue is it you have?

I have the slalom R and the matrix light and we're so happy with it.
We drove to France when our baby girl was 7 weeks and she loved it (plus we did not have to take a travel cot).
It takes up two seats in the car for lie flat but I find it really easy to put in place.
I think it's not a cheap option but one of the only lie-flat car seat options on the Market (there's a britax one too), which is the only reason I bought it. Are you looking at getting one or are you having problems?

Thanks for your replies ladies. Mine drives me mad. We have the matrix light car seat/carry cot all in one, the matrix light frame and the buggy seat which we haven't used yet. I find the car seat so heavy, makes me wonder how heavy the original matrix was. The frame gets stuck when you try to put it down as only one of the sliders wants to lift rather than both, a lot of the time the car seat doesn't realease when you try to unclick it and have to wiggle it about and the wheels are just a pain in the arse and never want to go in, the clips to keep the wheel in always slide into the frame before the wheels on so it take about half hour if it wants to eventually work.

While I love the idea of the car seat it's so bulky that in both cars we use for lo the front seat has to go so far forward someone can't sit in the front and the seat belt doesn't fit around it so it has to be uses lying down. Which then means more than one person can't travel. I don't actually drive and it's too big for the bus even tho part of the reason we got it was coz it's apparently 'public transport friendly'. In fact the only good thing about it is the height, me and oh are both tall and had trouble finding a taller one.

Altho we got it as a gift I have to agree that for the price it's a big let down. By the time the cozy toes and two separate rain covers (one of which costing £85 and the other £65) were added on it was around £800. While I am grateful for the gesture of it and know it's not the people who got it for us's fault I do feel pretty let down by it. But I don't feel like I could get a new one without a lot of offending and can't really afford to buy another. I can't imagine having to put up with it til lo is out of it when she's only 3months now.

sounds like your frame may be a bit busted, could you exchange it and see if that helps? the slalom frame we have is so smooth, everything clips in and out as it should it's a dream.
i agree the car seat is bulky but it was a heck of a lot less bulky than the seat we have now so unless you get a smaller maxi cosi or similar i think thats just car seats in general!
I guess if you're baby is long or quite chunky they will grow out of any seat quicker. My LO is a year old and i think no more than 19lbs so we got a lot of use out of it. i guess they can't account for everyones babies when they design them. when she grew out of the car seat bit we just switched to the push chair which folds down in one without having to take the seat bit off. the wheels also stay on for my car (citreon c4) but we have to take them off for hubbies car which takes seconds and it easy peasy.

i'd see about replacing your frame and see if that helps.

Thanks 3011busy I think I'm going to have to. I might see about maybe getting a different Jane frame as the matrix frame is so heavy. I'll have to have a word with the in laws about it. I guess it'd have to go it Jane rather than kiddisave where it was brought.

I so hear you on the "public transport friendly" part! I also wanted it as it seemed small enough to take on the bus when I saw it in the shop.. Needless to say when we have the old style buses it is a struggle to get on it so I now have a small pushchair, the simple ones if you know what I mean, for when I go on the bus and I keep it at my mums so she has one when she has LO stay. My Jane rarely sees the light of day to be honest. It fills our car boot (Renault Laguna) which is a big boot! Looking back I would have picked something else had I known what I know now. My gran paid for most of it though so I cant really do anything about it.
The chassis on ours is sturdy, so maybe you need to look into a replacement for yours. Our stuff just clicks in and out of place with no effort.

I think I'm going to have to do the same. Which is a shame when it was so much and I liked the fact I could have lo facing me for a while when she first went in the buggy bit. But even if I do end up with a new one I still have the issue of finding a tall one. :/
