Any other mums with Asperger's syndrome??

Hi

Just wondering if there are any other mums who have Asperger's syndrome, would like to be able to chat.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's while I was pregnant, it has explained a lot of things and why I do certain things a certain way.

How are you coping with your baby??

Hey! I'm 19 and was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 15 and have a 12 day old daughter!
As far as coping with being a mum, I am struggling to talk to the baby - I just don't know what to say.... I wish conversation came a little easier to me. I'm also finding that I'm losing my temper a little (she's been sick.). It's also a huge change in my normal routine and I'm struggling to adjust to that. How are you finding motherhood? If you'd like to chat feel free to pm me. At least with a diagnosis you can start to get some help, if you want it. For me a diagnosis meant that I didn't feel like a crazy, socially inept teenager. I actually had an explanation as to why I was that way.

Yeah, I've found that talking to him is difficult, like when I'm changing his nappy or bathing him they said to talk to him but what do I say, it feels awkward... I'm struggling to establish a routine, he never feeds at the same times, it's so unpredictable. Thank you because my diagnosis is so recent I've not met anyone else with Asperger's. Hope to be able to talk some more. Xxxxxxx
