anyone 12 + weeks still getting bad cramps?

Hi guys,

I am 12+6weeks today and the last few days have been getting really bad cramps, they are worse in the morning and tend to ease through the day, then just get patches of bad pain throughout the day.

Im getting quite a bit of pain that I presume is coming from my sciatic nerve as the pressure is low down in my back, but then other cramps as well that I cant tell if they are a result of this or not.

Anyone else get this? I dont know if the cramp pains are supposed to ease on the way into 2nd tri or not?

I'm not as far on as you but still having crampy days. Have you been checked out for the pains by a GP/mw? If it's your first baby then everything has a lot of stretching and moving to do so some crampiness is to be expected!

I have quite a lot of aches and pains and have days when i feel not so much crampy but achey still as if af is on its way. Saying that though, its more uncomfortable than actual pain. If you are in pain and its sore you should get checked out by the mw. As the above post says, it may just be everything moving esp if its your first. x

hiya i am 13 weeks + 3 days and thought that all of that had subsided but yesterday i had a really long dull period like pain and thought something was wrong. its just the uterus stretching and growing bigger for bambino if you get any sevear pains that make you double over in agony then ring the doctor / midwife xxx

thank you ladies for the info, it is my first. They are not severe, really dull aches and cramps, occasional shooting pain on the right hand side of my stomach. If it continues over the weekend I will phone my GP for appointment on monday. Thankyou xxx

i still got cramps and feel sick and all the symptoms i thought would have subsided by now its crap but think everyones differant for some people these symptoms last longer than in others x

Those sharp pains that you are talking about sound like round ligament pain. I wouldnt worry about those..they are the ligaments that support the womb i think that stretch and cause the pain. Avoid sharp movements. The can be absolute agony and often to me feel like a stitch. x

thank you mum of 5, you have really reassured me, as I have just been walking around tesco and kept getting shooting pains, in my stomach and 1 even went down into my vagina and really caught me of guard! They are not painful as such, more shocking and uncomfortable. Is that right? xxx

Just wanted to let you know that I have been getting period like cramps all the way through this pregnancy so it's totally normal. Relax, and hope you have a wonderful pregnancy

not at 12 but im 11+2 or 3 and still getting them pretty bad. doc says its ok

Two days ago I had really horrible cramps. I find it helps when you drink a lot of water and put your feet up when you get them.

Majority of the time I dot have any but from time to time now i get awful period type pains... xxx
