anyone addicted to having scans??

I think im addicted to having scans lol early in our pregnancy i had some bleeding so had to have 2 early scans, then we had our 13 weeks scan,4 weeks later we had our private gender scan then 4 weeks later(8th of jan)we have got our 21 weeks scan. because of my bmi i have to have a presentation scan at 36 weeks and i know it sounds greedy but when we have been having scans roughly every 4 weeks, it seems like such a long time to wait between 21 and 36 weeks so im trying to talk my oh into going for a 3d scan when i am 29 weeks but he thinks im crackers anyone else addicted to scans??

not by choice here but I do enjoy them..they give me peace of mind. I had early scans (6week, 8weeks,10/11weeks) because I've had a previous chemical pregnancy and now I see a perinatal specialist to monitor my cervix and I go in about every 2 weeks for transvaginal ultrasound to make sure my cervix doesn't open or shorten. I love having so many pictures of my baby, but I hope in the future they don't find out that ultrasounds hurt baby.

I don't think I'm addicted but (like most ladies I guess) I do LOVE them!!! I have had scans at 6, 8, 10, 12, 18 & 20 weeks (had issues in early pg) - no more now (hopefully) which is sad but I feel so much movement now that I don't mind too much - at least I know all is ok (very ok at times, been awake since 5am with all the wiggling and kicking!!)...plus I always have my doppler so I can have a sneaky listen every now and then!!

Its nice to see your little one!! Ive had my 12 week scan, 20 week and a 23 week one. We booked a gender one at 16 weeks and i had my 4d scan on Sat

4d scan 18 weeks
nhs 20 week scan
4d 22 week scan........ today!!!!

I signed up for this package to get 4d scans every month of pregnancy for 250 pounds. It's great. i get dvds of the scans and photos each time. The scan lasts for at least half a hour each time!

i love them too. I had one at 8wks then 13 weeks im having my private gender scan on monday then my 20 week (well 21 wk) scan 15th jan and i then get scans at 28wks ,32 wks and 36 wks i may also be having one at 38 wks depending on what the consultant says because of my placental abruption with matthew so i think thats quite a few lol!!

I had one at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks, 16 weeks. I have one on Monday for my 18 weeks and have them every two weeks now. They take an hour too so I get to see my babies a lot.

I would love to have a 4D scan but can't afford.

I like having the scans and seeing the babies, just don't like the gooey jelly and feeling like I am gonna pee my pants!

hi there im not addicted to scans but have no choice but to have so many in this pregnancy ,ive had scans so far at 7wks 9wks 11wks so far...

i also have one tomorrow 16 weeks one hopefully i find out the sex then yay then i have further scans at 18 wks then 20 wks then i think every 4 weeks after that ,im only given all these because of a stillbirth ,placenta abruption on my 8 month old son and misscarrige in august this yr ........i love seeing my lil baby so often keeps my mind at rest xxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to hear of your loss hun. I agree it's nice being reassured so often...although the first few minutes I am worried until she says they are all fine

I'm the same, I had an early scan at 7weeks due to bleeding then I had my 12week scan, then my gender scan at 16weeks, I have my 20 week scan on 31st Dec then I have my 4d scan on Feb 27th! I just LOVe seeing my bubs! xxx

I have had a few but i wouldn't say i am addicted, i do love them tho.
12 Week Scan
16 Week Gender
20 Week Scan
21 Week Repeat

Going to book a 3D one for 27 weeks and also have another at 36 Weeks for a low lying placenta.
