I've found out I'm pregnant again (yay!) which is unexpected and sonner than i thought. My daughter will be 21 months when this baby is born. Will she be ok with a buggy board or will I need a double pram? I was thinking pram + sling at the beginning but I'm not sure. She's not walking yet. Crawling like a demon but no walking.

Thanks!

My friend had a similar gap to you and had a double. I thankfully won't need one! Horses for courses mind but at just under 2 I'd still want LO in a buggy more for containment purposes! X

I'd say double pram, maybe get one second hand to start with, cheap and cheerful.

I could have written your post myself it's spooky!! I too am hoping to do the whole sling/buggy or buggy/buggy board thing so am stalking for responses :)

My son will be about 15 months when this one is born. He's 10.5 months now and still showing no signs of crawling but I think he may skip this altogether and go straight to walking. I've bought a double buggy - the Out N About Nipper 360. I thought about a buggy board (assuming my son is waking by then) and she said the only problem she found with them is that you end up leaning forward quite a bit as you have a child in the way and it gave her really bad backache. I also just thought it would be best for if and when my son doesn't want to stand up. I thought about baby wearing for a while but this always done my back and shoulders in so not going there again! x

my son will be 22 months when this one comes and i am soo nervous but i know things will be fine

My sister reaaaaaaally didnt want a double pram, so initially she did the sling/pram thing but eventually gave in and got a double. Her babies are 18 months apart. Its made her life a lot easier.

Mine will be 22 months apart and I've already got my double.

My son will be 4 days of turning 2 when little one is born and we have a pram that you can attach a second seat so we will be doing that for as pp said containment purposes lol.

In glad I've seen this. My LO will be 22 months when new baby comes and have just started thinking about this.

I think I'm going to get a buggy that can be a double or a single, like the oyster max. It is really versatile and I would be able to clip a car seat on and have my son in the bottom if he doesn't feel like walking. When he has totally grown out of it, it will be our second LO's main buggy.

Still lots of time to change my mind though! :)

Wow just realized there's quite a few of us with toddlers of a similar age and babies due similar times! we should start a club! lol!!! xxx

I'm glad I read this thread... my son will be 15 months when baby is born and I was seriously thinking I would get away with a buggy board... eeeek seems not likely! He's 10 months now and crawling/standing independently (I can honestly see him walking in the next month or so) I was kind of thinking 5-6 months of walking=no need for a double buggy. I'll be keeping an open mind and a close eye on eBay for versatile prams... thank you ladies for the heads up :)
