Were off to Turkey for a week in oct, and as were BLW with finn, im a bit concerned about what hes gunna eat. Has anyone had any experience of this? The meals are like a buffet type thing that you help your self to, so presumably most things will have salt in, even the veg. Will it do him any harm to have some salt for a week?! What would you do? We dont really plan on going out of the resort so its not as if we could go to the supermarket to buy his food, and we only have a basic hotel room, so no facilities to cook. Ive got visions of him living off bread, cheese and fruit for a week :haha:

I went to several resorts during summer. As Omar eats what we eat, at breafast there was lots of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, bread & cheese. I avoided eggs as it was too hot & I didnt want to upset his stomach as he was going swimming everyday, but if u'r ok with eggs u can ask them to cook an omellete without salt. I also used to keep a banana handy & few pots of fruit yoghurts in the hotel's fridge, & I took few baby custard pots as we were skipping lunch most of the time. At dinner, I used to give him cheese sticks, fresh veggie sticks (cucumbers, tomatoes, etc) & sometimes a small piece of sweet (cake or pudding). I also avoided all kinds of meat as I didnt know how well they were cooked. Enjoy hun xx

i have just got back from a week all inclusive in turkey. to be honest my lo went off bottles and food a bit because of the heat, but here is so much fruit and all different kinds of bread she did mostly eat that with a few peices of veg/potato etc here and there didnt do her any harm, just taste it yourself first. but she was totally fine on mainly fruit for the week!!

we are (were before bubs) big fans of all-inclusive resorts and in one resort they actually had an interesting idea that might work for your LO -- it was a soup where you add your own veggies and meat, veggies were steamed and no salt were added to them. Also omelet stations will have some fresh/no salt veggies cut in pieces already.

Also all inclusive resorts' staff at least in Dominican and Mexico is very hard working so they will make sure your LO will have what you ask and if you ask to set aside steamed veggies, they will do it for you, just give a nice tip. Their main task is to keep you happy and keep you coming back and they are doing it brilliantly.
