Anyone else on clomid? Clomid side effects vs. Preg symptoms

Hello, I'm not 100% on O time but it's been at least 12 days . AF is due on the 28th so I am waiting to test untill then. I read a lot about clomid befor I took it and lots of People said it caused acne.. I never get acne with my AF. So this is what I'm unssure of...


Acne around dpo 12ish (never have acne!) - clomid or preg symp?

Tender breasts (I always have it from O day to AF day, but it's more intense this time) -clomid or preg symp?

Itchy nipple area -clomid or preg symp?

Waves of nausea - clomid or preg symp?

Mood swings! - clomid, preg symp, or AF symp?

Hot flashes - clomid or preg symp

Also how do u ladies POAS so much! I am
Too scared of the let down to do it yet

I dont know many side effects of clomid but I took my very first round of it this cycle since my last cycle was 66 days!! it was crazy. Im thinking (hoping) that Im 5dpo.. just going by my symptoms and I used an opk this cycle. We are trying to concieve baby #2 and have been for a year now.. we had a miscarriage in March but we are hopeful!

I want to know this too!!!! I keep having what I think are pregnancy symptoms, but then I keep thinking that maybe it's just from the Clomid.

Frisbeemama12-Good luck! This is my first round too! Although my periods have been regular for about 6 months now. I think it's the metformin for PCOS making it regular, ive been on it for about a year! We should deffinately keep tabs on each other! Let me know of any symptoms.. I think they plan on 3-6 months before we try something else FXed!
ESpacey- what dpo r u? What round? Mg? I'm first round 50mg. Not being monitored! Which I dislike. They plan to double the dose of I don't get preg this round. What are the symptoms you are having? I would love to compare. I forgot to add in my original post, the blue veins on my breasts are darker, sorry if tmi, but they show right through my areola and they never did before. I haven't got a straight answer on weather that is a preg symptom or not. But hey, it could be the clomid too! Let's hope it's not. I wish both u ladies little bundles of healthy joy!

Hey! I've been ttc now for about 2 in a half years, with one missed miscarriage about two years ago. My OB wouldn't send me to an RE until two months ago because I'm 24 and healthy size and weight. Finally, I went into his office frustrated and just said that nothing was working, it's been 2 years since my MC, send me to someone! haha

I'm 7/8 dpo, first round of 100mg days 5-9. I was being monitored, here's what they found during:
I had a bunch of follicles on day 9, my biggest on my left measuring 13mm

Then on day 13 I only had two, on my right! The one on my left went away, they were measuring 15/16mm

Then on day 15 they were 17/18mm
Positive ovulation test at 9:30PM (I was testing O EVERY TIME I went pee, I know I'm crazy)

Then day 16 they grew to 19/20
No trigger shot or anything, just felt ovulation I think, I woke up to a SHARP pain on my right side at 6am! Had to be it!

The dark veins are a good sign I'm sure of it. Increased blood flow to your breasts are great! If you want to get monitored insist that you do. My REs are really great, I got lucky. They have been more than happy to continuously give me ultrasounds (which I love, if I could buy one of those in a drug store I would be more addicted than POAS!)

i only took it 2mth and the first mth i felt as preg as i did the 2nd mth when i was preg, awful headaches aswell x

Thank you Babi! mine were completely regular until I had my miscarriage in march. The next time I had a normal cycle (3 months later) it was one day of a DOT of brown blood (sorry tmi!) so I went in and they found one cyst (after doing a blood preg test that was neg) that sent me to an ob and he found many cysts and that cycle was 66 days. so he put me on 50mg of clomid and told me that if I dont get pregnant on that by november then he will go in and do surgery to make sure everything is working.. I find that weird though because he didnt do any tests or anything to see if I was ovulating or not.. and thats what clomid is for.. to help you ovulate.. I dont know too much though so I could be wrong :/ as for symptoms Im getting very uncomfortable at night to where Im just tossing and turning and having a VERY hard time getting to sleep even though Im EXHAUSTED. I also have lower back pain and I am smelling my DH aftershave in the morning whereas that has NEVER bothered me before this week.. and my mood keeps changing from irritable to content and happy.. the past couple days Ive been VERY content and happy.. I even hugged a friend of mine that I dont really like to hug! hahaha and I have wanted to snuggle with the DH EVERY NIGHT this week! Ive been very hot at night too, and I normally sleep with 3 blankets on me and am still cold.. so SOMETHING is going on.. Im hoping its a little bun in my oven and not just clomid side effects... BABYDUST to you all!

I only took it one month and I thought for sure i was preggo. My nipples were soo sore. Oh couldnt even go near them. But I wasnt. It sucks cause clomid mimics a lot of pregnancy symtoms so the only thing to do is wait. GL

Dont tell me that! hahahaha I really want this to be our month! I dont want these symptoms to just be because of the clomid! That would make me very very sad..
Do you know where I could find a list or something about symptoms that you could have with clomid? because Im getting hot flashes like its my job! its insane! usually Im so cold even wearing sweats and 2 shirts, but every now and then I get so hot!

Hey ladies! Sorry it's been a while, Sunday funday! ESpacey- unfortunately I don't have fertility insurance, so my Obgyn has prescribed the clomid.. I do have an endo but not a reproductive it would cost me thousands if I did. So I dont even know if the Obgyn DOES involves monitoring. If I don't get pregnant this month I will deff do temp charting next month. Stuff sounds really good for you though! I am also taking clomid 5-9. What up with the cd's you take it on. Why are some people different? Anyone know. Keep me updated with symptoms if u can! I want as much knowledge as possible!

Notmommyyet- do you mind me asking why you only did clomid once? Was it the side effects? Someone in my extended family took It and did NOT do well on it mentally or physically. IUI worked for her though! Twins!

Oh my word these hot flashes are soooo strong!! Its also 11pm (just after) here and I told my DH to go get me a famous bowl from KFC... hes amazing and wanted to get me something but KFC was closed. He listed a ton of food that I normally LOVE at night (fries, tacos, noodles etc.) but NOTHING sounded good! then he mentioned subway and it didnt sound bad so hes out right now haha. Im going to feel so incredibly bad if this isnt a sticky bean.. Ive also napped EVERY DAY the past 3 days! Lets hope its our month!

I had some mild cramping today though and actually experienced what I could only explain as something like heartburn today at lunch! it only lasted about 2 to 4 minutes but I have never in my life had heartburn except for one day when I was 7 months along with my daughter, darn gummy bears... Have you taken a test yet maybebabi?

Hot flashes is one of the biggest signs thats why some take the pills at night so you sleep through most of the rough stuff. And the sad part is since i took the clomid 2 months ago the sore nipples stayed for last month and this month sore boobs. I never had any of this stuff pre clomid so its def messed with my head. My sore nipples started at 2dpo on clomid and stayed until cd 2 or 3 of my new cycle. I dont even know what to believ anymore

Youre saying that the hot flashes could be from the clomid? I took the pills the 2-6th of Sept. and havent experienced any hot flashes until a few days ago after I O'd...

I believe hot flashes are one of the most common signs. I did not get them and not 100% sure if its only when you take them or throughout your whole cycle but I would imagine the whole cycle because nobody would think they were pregnant just while taking the pills. I hope thats not the case for you but there is really no way to tell. Clomid really messes with you.

Hey! I have not tested! I'm going to wait to see if AF comes, don't want the dissapointment I know that my hot flashes were originally from clomid, but 2 days after my last pill the hotflashes left. Then about a week or so ago they started, so about a week after O I got them again.. Hmmm. Thanks for the baby dust frisbee! If my time is not this month, I think it will be next! I have had good feelings!
