Anyone else tear?

I had a first degree tear which they didnt stitch. I have no idea when it happened or where it actually is and TBH I dont feel that sore there. I just feel 'puffy'. It's the 2 friggin piles I got that are the worst....jeeezzz :(

i didnt tear but was cut cuz i was too tight and would of torn if i carried on pushing im not sure how many stitches i had.

it was my worst fear too but actually isnt that bad! it didnt hurt when i went for a wee altho i was very scared at first!

i used tea tree oil in my bath and try n have a bath every day i was told it would help not sure if it did also i wore 3 maternity pads for padding lol i got sore if i walked too much so take it easy n also do pelvic floor exercises

Soo anyone else receive a lovely tear to be proud of? I got a third degree :happydance:

Just thought we could have a spot to compare notes lol!

Anyone found anything good to help with the healing process?

I found MAT & normal pads annoying in the end I used 'silk always' pads and vaseline which helped to stop the rubbing against either the pad or my underwear if I wasn't bleeding. - it really helped sooth and heal the tear.

Thats a really good idea! wearing pads is so sore after a while

I had an episiotomy and a 3rd degree tear! I didn't even know this until the 3rd day postpartum when a nurse came to my house to check out my stitches! lol
I think mine is mostly healed, it doesn't really hurt anymore. I tried to get my OH to look down there and he said he could only see a few stitches. How long does it take for stitches to dissolve and is it safe to have baths with bubble bath now? I asked when I was discharged from the hospital, and they said I could have baths but no bubble bath. I had a bath with a bath bomb from Lush last night because I couldn't resist any longer. (My MIL gave me a huge bag of bath bombs from Lush to thank me for the granddaughter)

they told me they can take upto 6 months to dissolve completly but most cases they dissolve within 12 weeks. They also told me no bubble bath but i've had 1 since, just got out when it was getting sore.

This is the thing I'm scared of most,....

Don't be scared. Tbh i didn't even realise that i was tearing. I just had a burning sensation. It's just bit sore after but it's honestly not as bad as it sounds x
