Lola has always been a good baby rarely crying.but from about 6wks she's never crying for her milk,sometimes it gets to 4 hours and I wake her (in the day) or she carries on playing and laughing and I think "she's not allowed to govmore than 4hours" so I make her bottle and she's really not that interested and I'm starting to feel like I'm force feeding her becoz she needs a "certain" amount.she will sit there laughing and cooing and then after about 45mins-hour she will then start to drink.so really my question is do I wait until she's actually crying which may turn out to be 5 hours or do I carry on becoz she's still only 10wks.thanks ladies xx

oh yeah and in the night if she does wake after 6-8hrs she's still not bothered??? Lol xx

I wouldnt wait for her to cry,crying is a late sign of hunger.If she doesnt seem interested after 4 hours,leave it a bit longer.Could it be because of the amount she is having in the bottle keeping her full for longer?If you put down the oz she might feed more regularly.
I think some babies sleep through at 10 weeks so the 6-8 hours at night doesnt sound like a problem.

Mine is the same. Since about 4 weeks he stopped crying for his milk. I try to feed him every 4-4.5 hours but even then he doesn't show any interest (he drinks but not the whole bottle) I weight him once a week and he gains his weight... but it bother me as I feel like I force him to eat...

Mine :dohh:

God she has been like this since around 8 weeks, she never cries for milk, even after 12 hours through the night she's not bothered. I used to get really stressed out now I just go with it. I feed her every 4 hours whether she is crying or not :winkwink: I can't even get her to take solids lol
:hugs::hugs:

I'm so glad to see this thread. I was going to ask the same questio ! My LO is 11 weeks and sometimes cries and roots for a feed and sometimes not. I worry that I am offering the bottle too much but he takes it and sometimes finishes 6 ozs! He tends to feed every three hours but like right now it's 3.5 hours and he is asleep. Like you I will wake him atfour hours but always let him sleep as long as he wants at night.

Thanks ladies,glad I'm not alone here with this xx

My daughter almost never cries for food. I have to keep her on a schedule so she eats something. I still feel like I'm forcing her to eat, but she needs to eat sometime.
