for the past couple weeks my son does this thing where he randomly screams or more like screeches in the most high pitched voice possible.
he isn't upset and nothing is wrong, idk he just does it.

he did it yesterday at our baby group and he startled all the other moms and babies and they all turned to see what was wrong with him.

i'm assuming he does this because he knows someone will give him attention?
i have no clue but it is the most awful and terrible noise i've ever heard :brat:

All the time, he's doing it now. Almost goes too high to hear sometimes!! I think he's just practicing his noises because he's perfectly happy :)

Sophie screeches too :)!

Ember does. I think she does it because loves to hear her voice. :haha:

Ah the screech, me & OH HATE it when LO does it lol. She did do it for a week or so a few months ago but then stopped, now it's back and it drives us mad lol.

i hate it too! if i try to ignore him he gets louder and higher pitched :dohh: when he first leanrt to do it it was constant, seems to be easing off now as he prefers to blow raspberries and sing to himself, thank god!

screecher here too suprised the windows are still intact its so high pitched lol

Here too! Isis thinks it's fun to scream at her toys. Daddy doesn't agree! :haha:

Oh my LO builds up all her energy and does the highest pitch screech she can and seems to shock herself sometimes with how noisy it is! It is a little annoying but its so funny watching her build up to it lol!

Yep I've got a screecher too lol he does it for attention I think, or when he's playing with his toys :)

I have a screecher too! I was changing him in the toilets at a restaurant and he started screeching I was sure people were thinking I was torturing him in there! I find it cute sometimes :)

My DS does this and has done since about 3 mnths but he stopped doing it for a while and starting again and I've now realised he does it when he is playing but overtired if that makes sense

Ah the dolphin squeal. I think they do it because they are happy or excited. :)

Yep, Louis screeches loads now, it's so funny, he loves the sound of his voice :haha:

Yup, another one here! Lewis is starting the screaming/screaching yet again. He seems to go though phases of this. I tend to do it back to him!!!

:haha: I do this too, Louis stops and looks at me like I'm a nutter then carries on! They're our little chats for the day :haha:

All of the freakin' time now! :Haha: Sometimes I get up and run to her while she's on her mat to make sure she isn't actually terrified of something.

Same here actually! Alexandra and I had a little chat over her dinner tonight.

I think it's so adorable! My son screeches sometimes out of nowhere too, and sometimes he goes on and on, other times it's right in the middle of a perfectly calm sentence. It's so funny, just makes me want to squeeze him! :haha:
