anyone go into labour without signs before hand?

My first I started contracting in the middle of the night no signs or anything just woke up to pain.

My second I lost my plug then 2 weeks later my waters broke in the middle of the night again no warning signs just went to toilet and felt a trickle and then the trickles turned into gushes as the night went on. Started contracting 2 days later. x

With my second i just started getting contractions 3 minutes apart in the night. No signs what so ever. He was born 3 hours later x

I'm hoping that no signs isn't necessarily a sign that nothing will happen as I've had nothing but am willing baby out with every breath!

me too..lol, I have loved being pregnant but now I am so exited to have my baby. I keep having twinges and period type pains and I don't think i can put up with the suspense for 2 more weeks. when i "lost" my husband at Bluewater yesterday while his phone had no reception. I spotted him ahead and was running, new changing mat under my arm to catch up with him just wanting him to stop or turn round luckily he was heading outside to try to get reception to call me so i did catch up with him!! thought the running after 2 full laps of bluewater at fast walking pace may have got me going but no luck!! xxx

I hope im one of those who goes in to labour with no prior signs! I feel pretty good at the mo so im just trying not to wish things on or it'll drive me craaaaaaazy!!

zzypeg - There's 2 days between us as well! Although if i went by my private dating scan then i'd be 38+3 too! We should all race lol. i bet i come last though! xxx

I went into labor with no previous signs. Just woke up in labor and had him later that day.

I hope this happens to me.. I'm due on Tuesday and apart from the odd cramp i've have nothing... *grumbles* come on baby...

With dd#1 I woke up at around 1am needing a poo when i stopped pooing I realised I was still getting the cramps, then I felt a trickle and my waters were leaking, 4ish hours later my beautiful daughter was here dd#2 the same happened again, went for a poo and my contractions carried on, this time however my waters didn't break until my first push, her labour was only 1hr 40mins . I did have some back cramps during the evening but I had a sweep that day so I'm not sure what caused those.

Thanks for this thread its really interesting, with DS I didnt have any signs at all not one thing, perfect pregnancy but was induced at 41+3, this time My plug came away at 36+5, Ive had a small show of blood, really bad cramps, back ache that comes and knocks me sick and lasts for hours... and guess what... it comes to absolutely nothing hahaha.

Im thinking I just wont have a clue when its going to happen and Im praying for my waters to just go one day!! x

thank you for the replies, bubs is over due and im so fed up of symptom spotting! lol it always amounts to nothing! i feel great which is strangley annoying me lol. im hoping bubs comes soon! x x x

With my first I started havin period pains in my back in the middle of the night, I was like ow n then after a while I thought maybe this is labour ha and we looked it up on the Internet on our phones n it said back pain is a sign ha what an idiot. The pains were every 5 mins so we rang the delivery ward n they said not to come til they were 3 mins apart every time, sometimes they were then they'd be 5 or 7 mins. I had contractions like that for 5 days before they'd let us stay on the ward. it was so upsetting, they hurt so much n every time they'd send us home. I was in proper labour for 18 hours n then she arrived! Xx

with my dd I was booked in for a c-section at 39+2. I'd had no signs and had secretly wondered when it would have happened naturally had she not been breech as I'd had NO signs whatsoever. Anyway, on the morning of my section I rolled over to turn my alarm off and my waters went. As soon as they went my contractions were every 5 mins apart. By the time we got to the hospital I was 5-6cm dialated (acording to my notes which I only saw for the first time a few weeks ago!) and her feet were already starting to be born.

I had no signs besides having a burst of energy the day before. My water broke and had my bloody show when I was like 6-7 cms dialated already so the first sign I had was contractions.

i went from 3cms 0% effaced to 5cms 90% effaced in 2 hours and only had period cramps...and even they werent bad...but my water had to be broken...and I progressed while walking around the hospital waiting to be induced lol

Well despite me saying yesterday I had no signs, my waters broke just before 2am this morning... after drenching the hospital assessment room I'm now at home waiting for full labour to establish.. I just want it over and done with now...

My waters broke at half 11 at night and contractions started about half hour later i was ten days over and keep hoping my waters break soon!!
