Anyone had bleeding intermittently in 1st and 2nd tri?

Hi Ladies!

i'm a high risk pregnancy apparently. I'm not worried about my baby's safety, most of the risks for now are with me.. (At least for another 6 weeks). But I had severe complications with my son which could cause issues this time... and on top of that I have an irritable uterus. Constant pain and pain medication, along with bleeding every now and then. Probably a dozen times so far; I'm 23 weeks.

Has anyone else had bleeding this far into their pregnancy? How do you cope with the anxiety? x

I had bleeding until 17 weeks. First due to sch, then to low lying placenta. It was nerve wracking to say the least.

Yes, I'm still bleeding occasionally now. They're guessing it's an irritated cervix as they can find any other reason. I bled pretty much constantly until 14 or so weeks, now it's just once a week. It took until about 16 weeks for me to actually believe this pregnancy might continue as it happened so much, I'm just used to it now and trying to enjoy my pregnancy (3rd and last baby!) xx

In this pregnacy I had constant light spotting from weeks 6-8. In my first pregnancy I had heavy bleeding and cramping from weeks 13-17 from sch, like previous poster. As for advice on how to handle the anxiety...I wish i could give you some but I was awreck, esp once a doctor told me that I was miscarrying (over the phone!) We had multiple ultrasounds and that was one of the few hints that reassured me- my son looked fine every time. And in the end, I learned that doctors aren't always right...still angry at that doc who didn't even know me (she was on call) but everything turned out fine and I have a healthy, energetic 20month old son now. So the beast I can tell you is to keep reaching out and asking for positive stories. It's easy to find negative ones if you google so when I was going through all of that, I posted on these boards asking for stories with good outcomes- what I heard was reassuring. Best of luck!

i bled twice in second trimester so far. once at 20 weeks 4 days & once yesterday. minimal, but enough to terrify me.

I bleed on and off in DD pregnancy due to cervix corrosion. It was worse on days when I was more active. She ended up coming out on her due date though, so all was well. Try not to worry about it much and see if on the days you bleed you do something different.

I had several sudden and heavy bleeds in first tri up to 11 weeks due to a subchronionic hematoma. Has all settled now and baby is quite happy and growing well according to my scans.
