Anyone had BV?

I have a tests at the doctors today for it as i have a feeling somethings not right down there aha !

Has anyone had this ? If so how was it tested for and what did you get given for it ?

I've read it can hurt your baby which is pretty horrible to think about

I had it when I was about 4 weeks before I was even aware of the pregnancy and was given Flagyl.

They diagnose it with a pap smear generally.

eek >.< i have to go in on emergency as my doctors have no appointments for 2 weeks , hoping the doctor isnt male things like that make me cringe

I woke up with some spot bleeding yesterday and spent most of the day in hospital. Everything is ok, as no obvious reason for bleeding. they took some swabs, I am expecting it to come back with BV as this always gets picked up on smears with me. Its normally pretty symptonless, the docs told me that at this point my immune system is lower and its very common to get BV, thrush and UTIs. Results should be in a few days. I have had an increase in discharge but put it down to general pregnancy as no smells or itching.

Best to get it checked if you are suspicious, as can lead to bigger issues later on if left untreated
