Anyone had success with Prometrium?

Hi ladies, I was recently prescribed Prometrium 100 mg orally/2xdaily for my luteal phase defect. I'm on my first cycle with it, and just wondering if anyone with a short luteal phase has had any success at conception with it? I'm on CD 24 and 7 DPO with it right now (normally my cycle would be 21 days - way to short since I usually ovulate on CD 16). Thankfully I haven't been sick from the Prometrium, but my boobs are more swollen than they've ever been & I am more tired, which I know is just due to all the progesterone. Anyway, if anyone has any experience with using Prometrium, I'd love to know. Thanks everybody

I took Prometrium for a couple of cycles, I think, but it was mostly to counteract the effects of the Clomid I was taking. However, I did continue taking it until AF started, just in case I happened to be pg.

Obviously I don't know your circumstances, but just wanted to "throw out" there that a new to me OB/GYN suggested trying Crinone over Prometrium, which I did. There's not a ton of research on Crinone, but I guess some people say it may be better because it is given vaginally...more localized. Might be worth asking about? Might not be. I really don't know....but there are other options.
