I found out last year that I've got hypothyroidism and was just wondering if there's anything extra I should do when I fall pregnant or if there is going to be any extra monitoring suring pregnancy.
I recently had a blood test to make sure my levels and meds were still ok and he told me to get another done around 2-3 months of pregnancy.

Hi! I'm not from the UK, I'm from Canada - but I have hypothyroidism (I have had it for 17 years). I had my first baby last year and there are no extra precautions you have to take, just make sure you are taking your synthroid daily, prenatal vitamin and yes - have a blood test done at least once every trimester.

Once you fall pregnant your doctor will likely increase your dosage a little bit, and then it'll go back to normal after you deliver :) good luck!
