Anyone know how much SMP is?

    Hi everyone just wondered if anyone knew how much u get for smp? for the last 13 weeks of my maternity leave that is all im goin to b recieving, iv heard its either £124.88 or 90% ur weekly wage, but i dont know which one?

    6 weeks at 90% average gross weekly earnings

    After that period 33 weeks at the lower standard rate of £124.88 or 90% average gross weekly earnings.

    SMP increases to £128.73 a week in April.

    Just re-read the original question - I think you need to check with your HR dept if you're on enhanced benefits for the first 26 weeks.

    Oh does it increase? Well everything counts. I get 3 months full pay and the rest is SMP. As one of the posts says, you may get extra money from your work.

    Is that before tax etc though?
