I met my wife online almost 6 years ago. We chatted online for around 3-4 months before meeting. It wasn't a dating site though, just a chat room.
I don't think it's too naughty to say that a large number of people who are on dating sites are on there for a reason.
For some, the reason is some sort of external constraint that keeps them from socialising normally. For a large number though, it's because they're social hand grenades or complete fruit loops who are incapable of relationships.

but i met my current partner though my ex and i had only spoken to my oh online then i met up with him once me an ex where like over and been together ever since, now engaged and have our baby 
..it was slightly awkward for the first few seconds, but then after 5 mins we relaxed abit..making jokes lol..but yeah i really like him, i just hope he likes me when we meet
..more gd stories...i hate facebook sometimes, it makes you look into things to much sometimes..he has changed he status to single from in a relationship with(his gf)..but they arnt even friends with eachother on facebook :s..but she can comment on his page..strange..it got me thinking had he made it soo other people cant see her on the friends list and changed his status so there is noway of knowing about her, and deleted her last comment..he did this shortly after i mentioned to him if their relationship is on the rocks, how mad would she be about finding out we are planning to meet ect..i just dont wanna get involved if its a lie..but at the same time i really feel something good about it.
