Im going to try and not find out the sex till the baby is born im really going to try not too but i want a girl so bad though im not going to buy anything except the coming home outfit thats unisex and hair clips incase girl

I'm in your club ladies... What other surprises do we get in life?! I have a romantic vision of us finding out in the delivery room as we meet him/ her and it being much more magical than hearing it in a scanning room as we watch him/her on screen. I can understand why people find out though... Would be cheaper than buying 2 coming home outfits like I plan to do for our lo, just so I have both options covered!

Well, My mom says its haraam to find out but thats not the reason I wont. Totally agree with momk2b. It makes the moment more special. Also, my sister never found out though she was sure it was a boy, so she bought all boys outfits (she's a shopaholic and then some). Turns out she had a gorgeous girl who looks so cute even in the boy clothes. Also, If your choice is not practical (like a tutu for a boy) you can always give those away as presents when friends deliver. =)

I always imagined it like it is on films "congratulations you've had a beautiful baby..." and how exciting that moment would be but now I know that I am soooooooo impatient and so desperate to start shopping I'm going to have to find out lol. Failed at willpower.

We are on team yellow definitely, that moment when they tell you what the sex is after the birth is what I want! I love the idea of a suprise. Plus everyone who has tried it both ways tell me waiting is nicer...

I kind of want to know cos I think it'd be nice for my DD to know if she's having a brother or sister, but my DH definitely doesn't want to know.

We didn't find out with DD but to be honest, I was so zonked out from the labour, I didn't care what we had so long as it wasn't a puppy!

I think I may find it a bit weird to know and be able to talk to my baby by name before it's born, so will have to wait I think.

I totally get why people just have to find out though.

We didn't with #1 and we won't this time either. It was the BEST surprise ever. There's nothing like delivering the baby and hearing those words. AND my husband said it was the best going out in the waiting room telling everyone what it was.

With our dd we did not find out and it was an amazing moment and such a surprise. I really felt I was having a boy because my tummy was huge!! lol With our ds we found out, but it was not the same. We are so blessed with one of each, but I wish we would have left it as a surprise too. This time, there is NO way we r finding out!! There are few surprises in life and this is the best one!!

Hey we are team YELLOW although dont think I will buy much yellow at all before baby is born!!!! I LOVE surprises and I just thrive on the not knowing and like some else mentioned I want the DR or Hubby to tell me. It is our first so we really don't mind at all what we have as long as its healthy.

I have to say that out of my friends that have found out, it has almost been a bit of an anti climax when the baby's born, as we all knew what they were having and in some cases the names of them s there was no surprise just pleased baby's were healthy! so I personally do want the suspense to last as long as possible.
