anyone not taking prenatals?

go to a health food store and ask for a gel cap type of prenatal. so much easier on the stomach than tablets.

I went and got some gummy prenatal pills from Walmart for ten bucks...don't make me sick at all...and I did Flintstone gummies with my last pregnancy. My doc said they work just fine

Target does a gummy. I wasn't a fan, because I thought they tasted funny, but my one friend swore by them.

I take these too because I can't swallow pills well. I think they taste fine apart from the yellow ones, and they don't make me sick.

Flinstones Gummies!!! prenatals made me sick no matter what time...I also got a bottle for folic acid their pills are the size of pinhead.

I've been taking the gummy ones, they make me want to vomit! They don't have iron though so they're the only ones I can take at the moment without my intestines feeling like they're going to rip me apart!

I gave them up in week 7-8. They kept making me throw up to the point that I started losing too much weight.

I'm hoping to start taking them again when the nausea passes in the 2nd trimester.

I'm at week 12 but we're not quite there yet...

Yeah, they're pretty gross! lol I just chew them up and swallow them really fast!

And NicoleJOLIE, I don't know, do you guys have Walmart? The kind I take are by vitafusion, so you can see if they have them somewhere else...

I just take my folic acid and that's it. I find most pre-natal vitamins are huge and I can't get them down without major gagging. I have to take 5mgs of folic acid, and most other vitamins have folic acid in them and I don't want to take anymore.

I take some from Wal Mart just a 10 dollar brand called Spring Valley and they dont really have any taste nor do they make me sick. I was prescribed a prenatal called PaireOB with DHA and it made my chest hurt and I couldn't breathe good for like 30 minutes after taking it....just a forewarning if anyone else is thinking of those.

Target also has the vitafusion..I don't know how anyone can stomach them though, they should be like candy but to me I just can't do it without gagging

They make me feel quite ill, so I've started taking them at night instead of in the morning. That way I sleep through the sick feeling.

Hey, i dont really know what the advice etc is in America or Canada but here in Ireland i was told by my midwife that prenatals arent that important, as long as you are at least trying to eat a healthy diet, except for folic acid which you can get here separately and the tablets are really tiny and dont make you feel yuk. Hope this helps.
