I've been happily buying girlie things for the last few weeks no (I'm 26 weeks tomorrow) and all of a sudden I'm really paranoid that I'm having a boy and will have loads of girlie clothes for him that I can't return. Does anyone else feel like this? I'm going to stop buying now!

YES!!

I've bought some girlie clothes but I want another confirmation at my next scan before I really go mad on pink stuff

Yep!! Booked a 4d scan for 12th feb just to make sure!! ;)

Yes!

I am even staying neutral with the nursery and bringing a white babygro to the hospital 'just in case'.

Despite me being told at 2 different scans it is a girl, I know it still happens where boys hide their bits well and it has been playing on my mind.

I'm glad it's not just me! I'm having a 30 week scan so I'm going to get them to check then! I wonder whether shops will let you exchange girls things for boys things after the 30 day refund policy?

I think everyone does even though we seen clear bulge between the legs lol
if they wernt sure they would have said so

hehe, I was super paranoid at my 20 week scan since the technician didn't sound very reassuring. But then I had to have a repat exam the following week and they confirmed it was a girl (her "hamburger" was pretty obvious).

That said, I think I won't wash or take the labels off of most of her pink clothes until after she's born, in case I need to exchange them =)

I was paranoid before but i've now had scans at 2 different places and both have been sure she is a girl...there was no hesitation at either scan, so I'm feeling more confident now. Still have my 4d scan at the end of next month, so hopefully itll be a third confirmation lol x

why ask anyone team pink worried about sex?
is it because girls are mistaken more than boys are? lol

I think one reason I'm paranoid is because my babies bpm have been about 140 which is the same as a few of my friend who've had boys, but maybe the whole bpm thing is nonsense!

Mrsctobe - yes I think they get girls wrong more often than boys that's all. I'd probably feel the same the other way around too though no offense to team blues :)

yeah but the thing about boys is you cant mistake anything between the legs, girls dont have anything between the legs so your more likely to mistake a girl than boy id imagine

I always thought this but there was a thread on third tri earlier about a lady who had a private scan at 25 weeks and was told boy and then just had a growth scan at 35 weeks and has been told girl...eeek! I am assuming the little man was just hiding his winkie as I cant imagine boy parts just disappearing after 25 weeks? I would be in so much shock and confusion if I were her xx

Its other way around for me, been told a boy and concerned it isn't! There is currently a thread on third trimester with someone being told a boy so she bought everything blue and now she has been told at a second scan it is a girl :nope: xx

Haha!!!I just said the same thing! xx

Yep! Everythings pink apart from the bedding lol.
Baby was in a awkward position at my 20 week scan but the woman said it was a girl straight away when she asked if we wanted to know and I'll be having no 3d/4d scan so I'll just have to wait till I give birth to be 100% :haha:

how does that work out though girls dont have anything between the legs?
the songographer looked 4times at our scan at said 95per cent boy and my and oh saw a bulge between the legs :s confused now lol

app at 3d/4d scans they flick to 2d anyways to tell you the sex so imo if you only getting it to confirm gender its a waste of money as they would only see the same as what they did at 20week scan.

It does concern me a little that the ultrasound result might be wrong but both the doctor and the sonographer were confident that LO is a girl, plus most of the clothing we've bought is gender-neutral anyway and the baby shower is after my 3d/4d ultrasound at 28 weeks so that should settle the issue.

That "theory" is total rubbish. I wouldn't worry about it!
