Anyone preg with #2 caught quickly both times?

I can see a lot of negative threads about how much longer its taking for baby number 2 than 1 and it can get disheartening. I got pregnant 1st month after coming off pill with noah. This time we came off pill in dec wtt and now on 3rd cycle with no success. Need inspiration xx

Hi - I never went back on the pill after baby #1 and we got pregnant with him in the first cycle and it happened again this time. I can't quite believe it.

Are you actively trying or just not protecting? We are so exhausted from work and looking after a toddler that we really went for it over the fertile week or so to try and boost our chances of being successful. I didn't use OPK kits or anything but worked out the rough week where I'd be ovulating and then tried to do it every day over a ten day period (a couple of days either side to be safe) rather than hitting a 2-3 day window.

I'm the opposite, took 7 months with the first and this time only took 2. But we did the same as pp said, we're always exausted chasing dd1 so put in extra effort around ov time and it worked out well!

I got pregnant with no.1 first cycle and no.2 second cycle. I was using the ovulation stick things and I know my mistake was not dtd on the day of ovulation. It'll happen don't worry x

I got pregnant with DS after 3rd cycle. Not been on any contraception since but only started to menstruate again when ds was 7 months... dtd ONCE without a condom after 3 cycles and ta daa... am pregnant!

It makes me feel incredibly blessed to be so fertile.. although it did rather take me by surprise.. keep dtd and it will happen I am sure. We see a lot of people on here struggling to conceive which must be incredibly difficult to cope with - I think those of us who found it easy just don't want to mention it much out of respect for those who struggle.

We are actively trying. Used opks for 1st time this week and followed smep so dtd CD8 CD10 then got pos on opk CD11 so dtd then dtd again CD12 and CD13 I did ovulate early than I expected though I always based it around CD14 but works out we will still have covered our bases previously. I was on microgynon when I got pregnant with noah month after coming off it but went on cerazette this time took me 6 weeks just to get a period and heard bad things so fingers crossed its not that which is the cause plus I know its still early days just wanted to hear opinions from the other side x

Yeah I know what you mean but really not trying to be disrespectful and am so grateful I have 1 but have found the desire for that 2nd positive doesn't diminish even after 1 I was just intrigued to know that is all x

I just meant that most couples don't struggle, it is just more common to read about problems on here rather than those that find it easy.. just trying to reassure you that you are unlikely to struggle this time!

I was on cerazette for two years before trying for baby number #1 and I got preggo the first cycle after period came back and I went back on cerazette after giving birth then luckily the same thing happened I got preggo first cycle after period came back (it took 5 weeks for period to come back this time. So have faith it will happen .... and cerazette does have very bad press I don't think I will be going back on it.

I got pregnant the first month off the pill with our daughter and we were trying to avoid! We decided to try for no 2 last summer. I went off the pill for 3 months before we started trying and it ended up taking 10 months for us to get preg with this one. I was doing ovulation tests and temping as well. I never expected for it to take so long but now I'm 11 weeks pregnant so yeah it will happen but sometimes takes awhile even if it didn't the first time

Number 1 took a year and a half for us and baby number 2 just 2 months

I have to say Noah took about 4-5 months of trying we started to give up and when we thought it was never gonna happen I had a sharp pain on my left side for a few seconds I did a test and there he was.

This one took about same time... but we decided to not think about it or even try just not wear a condom and let it happen if it meant to be and here i am 11 weeks (12 on monday)

so just forget about it and let it happen i think that works the best

I got pregnant first month off the pill with DS and it took 5 months with this pregnancy. At the time I was getting anxious as it didn't happen so quickly but looking back I feel a bit silly. Try to relax and be patient. I'm sure it will happen for you soon. Good luck. Xx

I fell pregnant when DS1 was 5 mths so no I had no trouble with either of them. But I am having trouble with number 3.

With both of mine I came off the pill had withdrawl bleed then 1 period then got pg. Both in 2 mnths or less. We used smep using opks. xx

I fell pregnant first time with number 1, then fell pregnant the fourth cycle but went on to have a miscarriage, then waited one cycle after that before trying for our rainbow and fell pregnant that first time trying
