I know this may not be the best place to post this- but I didn't get any responses the few times I tried on other area's... and loads more people view this area.
Basically, sex has been painful since LO was born (used to be ubber painful, but now it's a burning sensation and uncomfortable). After months of trying to figure out why- thinking it was BV or just "how it was"... and now all tests come back "normal"... I *think* I have Vulvar Vestibulitis syndrome (related to Vulvadynia).
I haven't been officially diagnosed yet- still waiting to get an appt with the specialist in my area. But it can be 6-8 mos out as they are so backed up and only see patients with this type of syndrome one day a week!
It would be nice to find support- not that I'm hoping anyone else has to go through what I'm going through... but I know it's more common than I initially thought.
If anyone is in a similar situation and would like to talk for support... I'm here. I could use some support myself. It's been difficult.
Thanks ladies...
UPDATE:
Just in case this post may help anyone else- I got into another OB, one who is familiar with what I *thought* I had (Vulvadynia)... and... I don't have that- what happened was the tissue around my V opening (sorry tmi) was dry and thin- either due to hormones or pregnancy? Who knows for sure-- but, she gave me an estrogen cream, and I am using a different lubricant (all organic and natural to cut down on irritation)-- and honestly, it's helping!!!! YAY ME!
I'm not back to 100% yet- but just in the past 2wks things have improved GREATLY! I'm very glad I found someone that knows her stuff... also, irritated that my usual OB didn't figure that out (seems like something she should have?!)-- but happy none the less...
I know hubby is happy too!
