i'm alittle disappointed right now. i gained 3.5 lbs this week. i weighed myself every friday out of habit. i wasnt really trying to lose but i do keep track bc i dont want to go above a certain number (190). well i gained 3.5 lbs this week bringing me to 192 and it really p'd me of bc i just ate horrible and drank alot of soda so the blame is all on me.

what i am wondering is how safe it is to reduce your calories while trying? i seem to stay in the 1500 calorie range anyway (until this last week) which is what i plan to go back to but i would like to add some more walking & exercise into my routine.

my concern is that if i dont try to lose weight now and i dont get pg anytime soon that i will just keep gaining. ...ok rant over..is anyone else going through this right now.

I have been using Sensa to lose weight, and haven't stopped in the TWW. Truth is, you don't need any extra calories in the pregnancy till much later. I've used Sensa for about a month and have lost about 8 lbs so far, and I don't plan to change anything until a doctor tells me to (assuming I get pregnant!).

It could also be a good thing to lose a little weight when TTC. Sometimes it makes it easier to get pregnant, from what I've heard.

oh ok thats good to know. i saw the sensa for sale at sams club and was actually suprised at how reasonable the price was but ultimatily decided to hold off on that. im def going to cut back on the soda. we are officially out of it now so its just more water for me.

i certainly wouldnt be able to reduce my calories by too much but i dont want to gain either

I think 1500 calories is great... anything less than that, and you've gotta be HUNGRY :)

oh yeah 1500 is low...realistically i probably am under estimating that considering we go out to eat twice a week. maybe 1800-1900 is a better goal

i think all those chocolate covered strawberries and fudge finally caught up to me

Hello hun, I don't know if your based in the UK or not so u might not of heard of this, but I'm on Slimming World and it's working wonders! It's even safe to do when pregnant coz it's as much of curtain foods as u want no calorie counting, it's just what u cook it in like switch from oil to frylite spray (1cal!) and not eatin certain things together it's workin wonders for me I still had about stone an a half of baby weight to lose I've lost 10lbs in 3 weeks,, I could of lost more bit quicker but I've eaten out couple of times lol google it it's brilliant x

I do weight watchers and will keep doing it till I get my 1st bfp

I've committed to losing 15 pound, pregnant or not. I think my weight gain has been the main factor in my struggle to get pregnant. I gained about 30 pounds after my wedding, basically where I started before I dropped to my wedding weight. My body has been out of whack since then. I'm going to just try to make better food choices and stay away from fast food and fried food. Hoping that will do the trick! FYI, I lost 40 pounds on Jenny Craig pretty quickly before my wedding. Its pricy but definitely worth it!

Chocolate covered strawberries and fudge would get the best of me too!!! :)

1500 is not exactly low. The average woman needs about 1200 calories so I don't think you should increase your goal to 1800-1900.

yeah i think 15 lbs would be perfect to lose. i am down 10 lbs from my highest weight by just being aware of what i am eating, trying to make better/heathlier choices. i have lost a considerably amount of weight on weight watchers before...30lbs. only to end up gaining the 30lbs plus an extra 10 back so i really need to just change my eating habits and workout some. i would be at the gym right now but i am stuck working overtime at the moment (yes, i am on break LOL)
