Anyone TTC while OH is taking methotrexate, low dose?

I feel a bit alone - just wondering if anyone else's partner is on low dose methotrexate and they are ttc?

My husband hasn't started his yet and we are ttc, but he will start some time in the new year (hopefully he can delay even longer once he's seen the specialist nurse, as he plans to ask to take steroids or something else for a couple of months so that we can have a bit longer ttc mtx-free!).

I will keep bumping this in the vain hope someone might be in the same position and we can share experiences (it's a lonely time as most drs don't really know enough about it and there is minimal research).

My daughter takes methotrexate for RA. Some studies have shown a decrease in sperm count and motility, whereas others have shown no effects.

Methotrexate can't be taken in pregnancy (women) as it depletes the folic acid in the body and leads to birth deformities, this is why women are told not to TTC after a methotrexate shot following an ectopic - they need time to build up their folic acid reserves before falling pregnant again.
