Well, I'm feeling a little lonely, so I thought I'd start this thread for us PCOS sufferers!

I'm Becca, I'm TTC my second. I'm getting married in April, to my amazing OH! :wedding:
I already have a 2 year old little girl, she's such a princess. :cloud9: However, my OH isn't her dad! I was young when I fell pregnant with Amelia-Rose, I was just shy of 18 when I gave birth to her. I'm now 20, happily settled, and in my own home with my own little family. As much as my OH loves my LO and treats her just like his own, he would love another.

I feel so rubbish at the minute, as I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS. :nope: I'm blaming myself for the fact we haven't got pregnant yet, and every time I see a :bfn: I get so upset. We're TTC naturally, until our appointment comes through for the fertility specialist - I'm hoping they'll put me on some sort of medication. I've been having irregular bleeding since June, sometimes I'll have a week off my period and then a week on!

So, is anyone else in the same boat as me? Does anyone have any success stories of falling pregnant naturally with PCOS?
I'm of a healthy weight, so my PCOS is not weight related - however, since diagnoses I've been watching what I eat! I'm also taking Folic Acid everyday.

Thanks in advance for any replies. :flower: x

I have PCOS too. I'm working on losing weight, but my cycles are all over the place. Since I've been losing weight it's getting better and I have them more regularly now. It's really draining though, I feel horrible a lot of days because my body isn't working correctly and it might not be easy to get pregnant.

We just started TTC in November and my long cycles are getting me down. Hopefully it will all sort out and I will get that BFP one of these days! :nope:

We already 'met' on the other thread but I thought I'd join this one too if that's ok :)

I just found out this month I have PCOS after 6/7 months of trying with no success.
I already have 10 year old twin boys, I was 18 when I had them - but like you, they are not fathered by my OH and we are desperate for one of our own.

My PCOS is also not weight related, and my cycles actually aren't really irregular (vary between 25 and 29 days).

Unfortunately the area I live does not fund fertility treatment when you already have a child/children so we have no option but to keep trying naturally...!

Hope we all have some luck soon :)

Fingers crossed for us all! Where do you live MemmaJ? If you don't mind me asking :) x

Yes, PCOS and TTC for 17 months. I've always been overweight, but had mostly regular cycles before we started trying. Seems like as soon as we started in earnest (we'd been NTNP for some time before that, on and off) everything went to hell and I basically haven't had a regular period since.

Hope we all find what we're looking for soon.

I thought I was ovulating, now I'm bleeding  it never ends! X

I just started spotting as well. I guess I didn't ovulate or my cycle was messed up this month! Bleh.

I have PCOS TTC #1. Dr put me on 10 days provera and Clomid days 5-9. I did O on 12/8-12/9. So far my hcg level is still 0 so I think we're out this month. AF is due in 3 days.

How is everyone getting on..?
My AF is due any time (one app says today, another says tomorrow), but it could be any time up until 24th judging by previous cycles so I'm not holding my breath for it to be today.!

Boobs are really sore, have been for a few days - but that's not unusual for me before AF. I actually feel more relaxed this time as I now know I've got PCOS so I'm not 'expecting' to be pregnant any more. Infact I'm expecting not to be if anything, although obviously I'll have the usual disappointment if I'm not :-(

Fingers crossed for you! :hugs: I've had very unusual spotting and pain over the past few days. I expected to come on when it started, but it's still not got any heavier  I'm feeling very confused!

Hi girls,
I was diagnosed with pcos when i was younger and now I'm being told I just gave some cysts but not actually pcos. I used to have 2 periods a year, now my cycles are usually 40-60 days and it's been heart breaking feeling like I don't function normally.
I've started taken soy isoflavanes this cycle to hopefully that will help. I actually got a positive opk on the 25th (cd15) so I'm hoping I'll have a normal cycle this month. I asked santa for a baby so fingers crossed for all of us! xx

My AF arrived on Xmas day :-( . It was late, so of course we got our hopes up a bit... And of ALL the days it could've come on, it was almost taunting..!

With the new year coming up, I'm really beginning to think about the next step now.
At the moment I'm heading down the route of buying Clomid online, but am thinking I'll probably have a private fertility consultation first (me AND my partner) to make sure that Clomid is what we need.

Having fallen pregnant completely unplanned 10 years ago, I've never had to do this before and the disappointment and frustration is really getting to me now :-(

AF came on time. So on to cycle 2 of Clomid. I decided to take it days 3-7 instead of 5-9 this month. I hit rock bottom last night though. DH and I had a little spat, and then I let loose of all of my emotions I've been hiding from TTC. I don't even feel like a woman if I can't. Plus I have elevated testosterone. I see DH with my nieces and nephews and can't help but think of how amazing of a dad he would be. Then think that I may not be able to make him one... Prayin for a :bfp: this cycle..

I've still not had af arrive! I thought she was coming last night, but again it stopped before it had properly started. I'm so confused, this isn't like me at all! I normally have a bleed every 2 weeks  X

I've ordered some Vitex - I've read some great things about it regulating cycles, particularly with PCOS, and also it helping with ovulation (which seems to be my problem) - so might be worth a try while you're waiting for your referral...?

I'll let you know if soy has worked to bring my cycles le down when I know. I hate these crazy long cycles. I'm hoping soy will work but if it doesn't I might give vitex a go and make a doctor's appointment.
Everyone keeps telling me I just need to chill and it will happen as that's what happened with them, but none of my friends really understand the frustration of silly long cycles and/or missed periods.

I'm remaining positive for this month! X
