Anyone want to buddy up? Due May 2012..

I know there is a whole forum for buddies but wanted to see if anyone out there wanted to twin buddy up?

I'm 13w to non-identical twins, EDD 24th May, runs in the family but wasn't really expecting twins with pregnancy 2 so it was a bit of a surprise at the dating scan. When the twins are born, I will also have an almost 2 year old. Very nervous and have been stressing since finding out last week about all the logistics..Although also very excited!! Would be lovely to bounce things and care plans off other twin mummies of the same/similar gestation. Going in Monday for our NT scan and to get a care plan from the consultant. x

Heya I'm 15 weeks due may 15th, mine are fraternal also and were concieved naturally right after a mc. I'm 28 and from New Zealand, have 3 other kids, we planned one more but turns out these will be our last two! Really nervous and excited. It would be great to have a buddy

Hi Zephyr, what ages are your 3? I'm 29 & in the UK. It would be lovely to have buddies going through the same thing... sorry about your mc. Have you had a care plan already? x

My oldest is 10 (had my daughter very young) another daughter who is 6 and my son is 3.
I'm unsure what a care plan is lol I have a midwife and will be changing over to specialist care at 28 weeks unless problems come up before then in which case I will be transferred earlier.

How has everything been so far?! Has your morning sickness gone yet?

I was lucky to not have too bad morning sickness. I felt like i was going to throw up everyday, but it was more gagging iykwim? And exhuastion!! (which makes sense now!) Just found out having twins last Tuesday, its not completely sunk in but we are working on it! How are you feeling? Starting to show now? I think I definitely need to get the maternity work trousers out for this week, tops I'm still ok but the trousers are really tight in the waist!

By care plan I just meant if you were going to be midwife care or specialist care. I've got an ovarian cyst and my first was premature so even if a singleton baby with no 2 I was told I'd be consultant led. But I think I will still have check up with the my local midwife for bp/urine too but I'm not sure whats happening yet! I was told last week I'll have scans every 4 weeks from the 20 week scan, So will be spending lots of time at the hospital!! x

That's great you didn't get much morning sickness, I was the opposite I never got much tiredness but I am still a bit sick every morning though it is much better than a few weeks ago.
Such a shock to take in aye! I have known since 6 and a half weeks as we were unsure of dates and then had another scan at 8 weeks and both had grown well so I have had more time to get used to the idea but I don't think its actually truly sunk in for me either.

Yeah that's the same here I got told I would get a scan every 4 weeks. I have my 20 week scan on the 30th of Dec it seems like so far away!

I am definately starting to show and have had to buy bigger clothing twice now!! I have also recently started feeling very small movements. What about you? a while ago I had the odd flutter every now and then but its only now I can definitely say its the babies. OOoo I'm so excited haha

May I join you? I am due with non idenical twins on the 2nd of May but I have been told that they probably won't let mw go past 37 weeks.

Got quite a bump now at 16 weeks and 6 days. It has grown loads this last week and I am super painful in my belly with it growing!

Hey Ladies,

you probably don't want this many buddies, but I couldn't help post. My Due date is May 22nd. This will be baby #3 and #4 for us.

I am finding this pregnancy totally different than my last two. Lots of morning sickness, and the fatigue is crazy! My Doctor wants to deliver the babies between 37 and 38 weeks, but he is open to talking about it as we get closer. I've already had two c-sections so I know this one will be another section.

Oh, I'm 35 now... man I am getting old...

I know the original poster was wanting a buddy but I reckon the more the merrier

I was told I won't be going past 38 weeks and am considering a c section. Never had one before but for me and my situation I feel it may be the better option. Still really unsure though as I have never had one before I don't know what they are like. I realise I may have no choice in the matter but if I do get to choose I am leaning towards this way.
Some people I know who have had one have had a really rough time after and then there's some people I know who were completely okay after one.

So how is everyone feeling? I have notice the past 4 days or so I have been feeling rather heavy in my stomach and slowing down a fair bit, I have to take heaps of breaks during the day. Does anyone else feel like that? I am guessing it gets worse as we get bigger

Hey I am expecting twins as well but in June 2012, though my doctor said not to expect to get past May. I just found out so I am not sure if they are identical or not yet. There are no twins in the family so I was shocked to learn I was pregnant with twins!!!

Congrats Lauren, have you had your scan yet? I found out at the dating scan that they were not sharing a placenta, so they are non-identical.

Hi I would like to join your group as well. I'm expecting non identical twins due May 10th. I'm 30 years old and they will be my 4th and 5th babies..I have a 13, 11 and 7 year old now. I was totally not expecting twins but could tell something was different having morning sickness was not normal for me so wr joked around that I was having twins but was quite suprised when we found out. My Dads Mom was a twin so there is 1 set in the family. I will be having my anatomy 20 week ultrasound on Dec. 20th, I can't wait to find out their sexes.
