anyone who was under consultant care with pregnancy????

hi ladies, i was just wondering if anyone could explain to me my consultant from when i was pregnant as sent me an appointnment for next month. at this point lo will be 4 months, i had no complications during labouor had completely natural birth. i was only under consultant care because of bmi although i did turn out to have low amniotic fluid towards the end of my pregnancy. i just dont understand what this could be for as this happened to anyone?? anyone got any ideas??

Sorry hunny I can't help - I haven't seen or heard from my consultant since my last growth scan at 38 weeks!

not heard from my consultant since i was given asweep at 38 weeks... can't imagine why they would need to see you. did you have stitches or anything?

I was an aside from a visit that we made voluntarily to show off Alex after he was born, we haven't seen her since. I'm going to pop by and see her though next time we're at the cardiologist.

Did you have any tearing during birth? Sometimes they do follow up appointments for This to check all is okay PAP Appointments they're called. It could be worth ringing the number on the letter - you will get the secretary and they maybe able to
Check your notes to check if it's an error or not xx

I had a consultant due to BMI, haven't heard / seen from her since pregnancy at all xx

I was consultant led due to high bp, had a follow up appointment when lo was about 3 months. I was on medication for bp throughout my pregnancy and stopped taking it when lo was born so they just checked my bp to make sure I definitely no longer needed to take it. They also discussed my care at any future pregnancies.

I have my follow up appointment next month as I was consultant led care due to cysts during pregnancy which were removed during emergency section, I think it probably just differs from hospital to hospital and is probably just a check up due to any issues.

Oh i see so some ladies have had follow up thanks chicks and i did have an episiotomy so had stitches i hope she dot wanna look at them lol.

I haven't seen my consultant since my second sweep at 41 weeks. His name was mentioned when Izzy had to have a hip scan, but only that the results would be passed over to him.

Hope it all goes ok though.
