Hello.. I will keep this brief (or try!) I had an ectopic in 2010 which was never found and was a pregnancy of unknown location type ectopic as appose to something seen in a tube etc. My levels did not get very high (600's) but wouldn't go down and sometimes creeped up a little and so I had to have the methotrexate injection eventually. 8 months later I was blessed with conceiving my little boy
Fast forward to now and sadly I am having another ectopic and again nothing can be seen on a scan. It was more like I had an early miscarriage which is just hanging around a little longer? My levels on friday were 50 and on sunday were 59. I have had more bloods taken today and should know the results this afternoon. I have been doing ic's in the hope the line will vanish but it hasn't yet I am hoping as my numbers are so low though that I can be monitored and hopefully avoid that injection again.
This brings me on to my question! Both these ectopics have been 'pregnancy of unknown location' type. The doctor I saw this morning said it might be that one of my tubes has an issue and if I conceive out of this tube it ends with this drama. It might explain why inbetween these two losses I had a healthy baby to term. I am wondering if anyone has any experience or ideas at least as to whether they would run tests to check my tubes and hopefully unblock or fix the dodgey one?
I hate the thought that every time I get pregnant I run a 50% chance that it is another ectopic if indeed I have one tube which fails me
