Anyone with scans at 8 weeks??

Just looking for insight here, I've got a scan Nov 13 and I should be around 8 weeks at the time, what should I expect to see on ultrasound? I never got an early scan with DS, we got one at 19 weeks to determine gender and that was it.

I've got one at 7+5

We'll see a little kidney bean shaped thing with a flickering heartbeat. They'll measure the heart rate and the crown rump length to date the pregnancy. There'll be a yolk sac visible too. Sometimes you can make out the little limbs.

i'm booking one for re-assurance because i'm a bag of nerves this pregnancy. i had a reassurance scan with my DD and i got one given free with DS as i had a MC before conceiving him.

you'll see a little bean shape and a heartbeat

I had a scan at 8 weeks at well. Even though you can't see much, it was still lovely to see, I'd never have thought I would get so emotional when seeing our little baby. Good luck on your scan!

I had one at 8+2 measuring 8 weeks. Mine looked like a tiny baby with a huge head and nubs. But it honestly varies for everyone. Some people still just have little blobs at that point. Mine was transvaginal so it's a bit more clear. My avatar picture over there <<<<< is from that scan. It was wiggling around all over the place.

I had one yesterday at 7+5 and saw a lovely little kidney bean shaped baby with a yolk sack and flickering heartbeat. It was an abdominal scan so pic not that clear but I saw it much clearer on the screen.

Mine when I was 8w4d. You can see how my OB was measuring the baby (white dotted line), and the placenta.(which at first I thought was the head LOL)

And just for fun I uploaded my 9 week scan bc I think it's really amazing to see the growth that occurs in just one week. this one looks more like a baby with arm buds.

my first ultrasound was at 8 weeks and 6 days, so exactly a week ago. (it really doesnt feel like that. feels like longer!)

my boyfriend and i saw the heartbeat, and the lady pointed out the head and body. honestly it looks like the baby is smiling in this particular photo, and i have two different ones.
