Has anyone else had their appetite completely change postpartum, compared to prepregnancy? DD made her arrival 8 days ago, and I was told beforehand to expect constant hunger while BFing. Far from it- I have to set a timer several times a day to make sure I eat!! I checked my weight yesterday and have lost every ounce of baby weight. A little worried I won't be able to keep my milk supply up, though for now it's fine. I average 14+ ounces per breast, per pumping, so I'm saving all I can!!

Any ideas on how to increase appetite, or if this is something I should worry about?

I did not feel any hunger at all for the first week pp...now 3 weeks on its a different story :)

I would give it time. Just schedule meals and snacks. At almost 3 weeks postpartum my appetite is finally coming back. I've lost the majority of my weight gain as well.

I was like this to start with, not hungry just thirsty. A few weeks on and I could eat everything in site. My son is 15 weeks old and I'm still starving all the time. I lost the baby weight within a few weeks but have put on a few pounds since that trying to loose again xxx

How weird, I thought it was just my body being strange but my LO is 5 weeks old and I haven't felt hungry at all since he was born. Not even once. I'm not breastfeeding but I have to force myself to eat and usually only do so with the family for dinner, after going all day without anything because I'm just not hungry.

I suppose it will come back soon but hoping it's helping the baby weight shift for now..! 'Every cloud' and all that! ;-)
