Are peas a contraceptive?

Hi all, i recently got given some information that a friend found on the internet about peas being bad for people TTC as they act as a contraceptive. Has anyone heard of this at all before, I don't really want to cut them out of mine or my husbands diet but wondering if this is a well known fact that i just don't know!

I doubt if there's any truth in that, Hen.

I eat a lot of veg, peas included-never hindered my Pudding coming!

i have never heard that, sounds like an old wives tale to me.

funnily enough i have a pea phobia so if it were true it wouldn't be a problem for me anyway!

I read that in more than one fertility book that I had bought - I think it is an issue if they are a big part of your diet - dont think if you have them occasionaly that it will hurt you.
