Are we supposed to move on to the 2nd trimester at 12 or 14 weeks?

I hear it is mostly 12 bUT I have heard it's officially 14?

Baby and bump has it set to 14 weeks but my doctor told me that I'm out of the first trimester at 13 weeks. I think some people move over at 12 and nobody is complaining.

I think UK 2nd tri is 13 weeks, us is 14, it really doesn't matter tho!! X

Us is 13 weeks .... Lived here my whole life never heard 14.

I move over after first trimester scan usually. I make my own rules up i think haha xx

I say whenever you feel like moving over!!! I'm waiting til I'm 13 though.

I always figured 13+3 is as close to 1/3 of the way through as you can get! I've seen a few sites that use that as well... but it varies. Like these ladies have said- it's not set in stone!

I've always gone by 13 weeks

For me and the apps etc that I use, when I'm 13 weeks next Saturday I'll consider myself as moving into the second trimester X

I remember feeling this way a few weeks ago ... I moved over at 13weeks ... but like they said you can move over anytime you feel like

my ticker moved to the 4th block at 13w3d LOL

Last time I moved over at 12 weeks, but it's not "officially" 2nd tri until 13-14 weeks. Don't worry, you'll be welcomed all the same no matter when you move over.
