I'm so so so paranoid of having a mmc, I spotted once very lightly at 6 weeks but only when I wiped (sorry tmi!) and nothing bloody since.
I have full blown ms and constipation and about every other sympton of pregnancy lol, but is it possible to have symptons and actually not be pregnant anymore?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm worrying over nothing!!!!:dohh:

I believe the symptoms are caused by the hormones. And the hormones don't always go away quickly, especially in a MMC.
I dont' think the spotting is any reason to assume you had a mmc though!

Are you getting a scan soon? That should set your mind to rest... or get a home dopplar to listen ot the HB since you're 12 weeks on!

Hi

I had a mmc earlier this year. I noticed red blood when i wiped (sorry tmi) only very small amount and only once. I panicked and went the doctors the next day (i was 12 and half weeks). Doctor referred me to EPU the following day. I was worried but still having really bad morning sickness so i did believe that it was going to be ok, i also had no blood in my urine when it was dipped. Unfortunately i had lost my baby at 9 weeks :-( The EPU explained that it is actually the placenta that causes the sickness at that stage.

Please dont read this and worry though i am sure you will be fine. Just wanted to answer your question x

Sorry hunni I don't have an answer for you but I have just got a home Doppler and it is great. Only started using it on Sunday so only used it a few times but it definitely has helped me to relax. X

No symptons will not disappear if youve had a mmc. I lost my little boy max to a MMC in march and although he had died at 13 weeks we didnt find out till a few weeks later and i still had all my symptons

I had a mmc this year. I had symptom all the way through and started spotting at exactly 12 weeks. Went for an emergency scan and baby had died at 9 weeks and i miscarried maturally at 12+3.

So yes you can carry on having symptoms even though somethings wrong. It's very cruel.

Easier said than done but try not to worry as there is literally nothing that will make a difference, i should know lol :)

I agree with everyone - I had a MMC as well - the difference for me was 1. my hormones were really low anyhow, and 2. I was on progesterone.

So for me, because my HCG was terribly low, I normally wouldn't have had many symptoms - but I didn't have many before starting progesterone anyhow. the fact that I was on the progesterone carried my symptoms forward even when the pregnancy had ended - but for the average person, who has a normal, high, hcg, the symptoms would be present until the hormones regulate I would guess..

To that - I think it would *SUCK* to have to deal with nausea and vomiting for no reason - luckily mine stopped when I stopped the progesterone as soon as I found out.

All this said - It doesn't sound like you really have any reason to worry!! You don't seem to have any problems but the worry at this point - and sometimes we are our own worst enemies :) I am sure you are fine ... if you don't have any reason to worry, I'd try to relax and rest - and I KNOW how hard that can be. Reading a lot of the stories out here can drive you mad too :)

:hugs: it will be ok - try not to worry -
