argh- im worrying, advice please please!

Hi ladies


well today i took my mother to see the venue.

She loved it. Its really lovely. But im a perfectionist and every time i go there- i see somethign wrong with it. For instance, it has an amazing reception hall but it was full of deliveries today, if its full of deliveries on the day i will actually scream!!

Also, in the amazing ball room where i get married, everytime im in there it seems to get smaller!! and today i noticed a tiny hole in the wall- i know its really small but i cant help wanted everythign to be perfect. Also the toilets were a little tiny bit dirty (water a bit of loo roll on the floor) if this happens on the day i will be mad!!

I know its silly, but i just cant help it.

Also,
I'm so worried that I will forget something on the big day like earings or something. Or forget to get champagne and sandwiches on the way for the girlies. Also worried because check in isnt untill 3, and although we have booked out the honeymoon suite the day before also so we can have it for two full days im worried that me and the 5 adult bm's will get cramped and claustrophobic. Also- whats going to happen to their stuff after we leave? the room will be a mess with hair and make up stuff EVERYWHERE i dont want to go back to my honeymoon suite in the evening without it being PERFECT!

so many things...so many things...i need to write list of things to remember but theres just so much, everytime i read a magazine or see something i know I need to have it for the wedding but i keep forgetting to write it down, now ive forgotten.

How do I remember everything??? i really dont trust anyone else???

how will i remember to ask the venue to light all the candles and do the napkins the way i want them to look- i even bought black ribbon to go around the napkins, what if i forget??

Don't worry, it will all be fine!

I started a bit of a scrapbook just after we booked the wedding, I would cut things out of magazines so I had them all in one place, I've god knows how many spreadsheets and stuff on the computer, with timelines, guestlines, music I want and stuff.

Speak to the hotel to see about the reception etc, and if you mention that the toilets were a little messy, I'm sure the manager would have a word and have things improved.

Our hotel has given us a separate room from the day before the wedding until the day after for all the bits and bobs we need- or you could put one of your bridesmaids in charge of tidying make up / straightners etc into another room (even if this is between the ceremony and reception).

Don't stress, things will all work out and on the day I bet you'll be so taken with all the people there, all the nerves and excitment will take over and it won't matter about all the imperfections (and they won't be on your pictures!)

You will remember it all hun. In future just write these things down, get a notebook and write your wedding 'to do list' in it.

Nobody will notice a tiny hole in the wall on your day hun, once the venue is done out in your decorations it will look fab I'm sure. As for the mess in the room, do you have a maid of honour? Could you ask her to sort out the room some time during the day, or maybe your mum? If not then ring the hotel because I'm sure a lot of brides have the same problem, maybe they could sort something for you?

Try not to worry yourself too much, although I know full well that next year I will be just as stressed as you lol!

I was the same, in fact, it was harder when I had 6/12 months now I've got to the stage where I'm happy with all that I've planned, I've got all the bits of bobs I wanted, I know it's going to be a fab day and I'm fine with it all......we'll see how long that lasts!

I'm sure it will be the best day of your life, it will all come together perfectly...... hole in the wall or not!!! haha

thanks ladies- im so stressed. I dont know why i know I have another 11 months but because i was on such a low budget i still wanted a massive white wedding and so, ive had to make and personalise little bits myself and because i am responsible for these little bits and not a company- its so much to remember!

maybe put little post it notes around nearer the time-or write a list and keep it next to your side of the bed- that way when you go to do something your contantly reminded

its only natural to worry befre your big day but im sure itl go great hun xxx

Its totally natural to worry hun!

Just think your venue will arrange a lot of things that happen on the day,and then just right lists of things to do.I still have one thats a page long and only have a week to go!

It will all come together sweetie x

thanks ladies. I dont even trust my venue to do it exactly how I want it hahaha! At least I have a good company doing the chair covers- they insist on a good fit and straight bows, which coincidently- i like to hear!!!

I have so many details, so many things to tie ribbon around, put bunting up outside and lanterns everywhere in the trees! I just want it to be magical, and i want it to really shine!
