argh please help girls, what on earth is going on? x

had a sweep on wednesday, started spotting and since then have had alot of mucusy discharge. started getting iregular contractions on the night, got some sleep and when i woke they stopped! started again later in the day, every 15 mins, so painful but managed to get some sleep, woke up this morning and they stopped again! walked around for 5 minutes and now theyve started again! so far every 10 minutes. what is going on?! could it be labour? is it normal for it to stop and start? or is it me been unactive?x

could be you plug you losing which is good and its either BH or early labour fingers crossed, when you back at MW, give her a bell if you're worried

if you feel up to it go for a walk my mw swears by it says if yr in early labour or showing signs it can really get things moving x

Could go on for 2 weeks, hope it doesnt though!

Contractions stopping & starting is actually very goood, better than them stopping for hours & never building up.

My first labour was like this she did appear within a decent time period.

My second labour also like this but a shorter version, sweep fri, fine all day, 11pm contracrions by 3am getting too 5-9min apart i needed to breathe them by, 6am fell asleep woke up at 8am fine lol. I had sex though at 10pm next night, bang proper contractions straight away she arrived next morning.

Sounds like early labour, the mucous discharge is definitely your plug coming away. I agree going for a walk will help, I did yesterday and lost a load of my plug afterwards xx
