Argh! Recovering From A Second Degree Tare In This Heat!

I had my daughter 2wks ago an needed a couple of stitches. The bleeding has almost totally stopped and it no longer stings when I pee. But now it reeally itches down there!! You know like when you have a deep cut an it gets to that stage of healing where it itches as the skins sewing itself together? Its just like that! An with the heat its obviously 10 times hotter etc down there which I cant imagine id helping. Is there any way I can help ease the itching before I go MAD?? I am still wearing sanitary pads which doesn't help either but I still need to wear them till the bleeding goes completly

My midwife advised me to put a towel down and sit on the sofa with nothing else on and just let the air get to the stitches, I've done it a few times now and it really helped x

Thank U hun I may have to try it. But I will sit in front of the fan lol!
