Arthur?

I think it's fab! It does conjure up images of flat-caps and starts me humming "Arthurs Theme" but I think it's one of those old traditional names that isn't totally dated but isn't over-used either.

Sorry i dont like it...sounds a bit too old fashioned for me x

Thanks!

I like it because it isn't one of those normal bog standard run of the mill names!

Arthur seems great as I am trying to convince my husband that Dawson is not a good name (spurs fan- what a surprise!)

x

I like the name Dawson rather than Arthur but that's probably because I know a really horrible man called Arthur and the name reminds me of him.

But it's your baby and your choice! x

Haha thanks! Looks like there's another one in Team Dawson!

I love the name Arthur! It's not old fashioned in my opinion but when I think about it I can imagine a young child named Arthur and then an adult named Arthur so I think it's a great name for someone! Dawson is a nice name too, but it reminds me of a tv show called Dawson's Creek so I'm not too keen! Team Arthur for me!! :flower:

The name Arthur has been growing on me lately, although i would never actually use it. My mom would have a fit -- she doesn't realize old fashioned names are trendy right now.

I think i prefer Dawson, though!

Oh i love it! I like the name Ted if ever we have a boy but hubby hates it, similar names i suppose! Men have no taste! :haha: :winkwink: xx

I love it! My hubby isn't keen either - it was my Grandad's name who passed away 3 years ago and he was such a lovely man, I'm trying to get it as a middle name should we have a little boy.

Love it!!!

I used to be a teacher and taught all over my county so have met 200+ children!

I know of 3 Arthurs. All have the sweetest nature, extremly well mannered and very bright. When I saw I was about to teach Arthur no 3, I automatically had a good feeling, I instantly went ahhh.

You know when some people associate names with a certain type of person? Like what people associate Tracey with? But I don't diss Tracey, my best friend and sister in law have Tracey as their middle name. They had the mick taken out of them a few times though bless 'em! x

If we had a boy it would have been a middle name (after DH's grandad), I think its cute . xx

Hiya, i think as a little one, this name is great, very very cute. Also as an O.A.P, this is a great name. However, what about when the child is in his teens to 30's?!

Just a thought :)

I have to say I'm not keen personally, but it is one of the names that my husband likes if we have a boy! xxx

I love it. Its a very strong male name. I dont like weak male names that are to modern. I love Arthur x
