Hi does anyone have any idea when ashton and parsons teething powder is going to be available again i've been trying to find it for months and now somebody is selling it on ebay for £50!!

Factory burnt down :( have you tried nelson teething powder?? X

Blimey, I have a box of it, I didn't realise you can't get it any more. I got it at our local chemist, I might see if I can stock up if they have any left.

:shrug:A pharmacist told my MIL that drug users have been buying in bulk and using to mix with other drugs. Not really sure why or what effect or if it's true but they said that's why you will struggle to get it anywhere

We use the Boots own powders and they must be great cos LO opens his mouth when I offer him the packet, so they must help him!

My local boots told me they'd been trying to order them in for over a year but they've never arrived :( I didn't know boots had its own brand powders, I'll need to give them a go

I emailed them direct and they will be producing them again but they. Couldn't say when as thefactoryburnt down x

The last time I tried to get them was last Septemberish and asda said they sell out literally within minutes.

Yeah i asked at my local chemist as everyone says they are good on here and they told me the factory had burnt down and they werent sure if they would ever do them again or not.

I got some of the boots powders this morning after reading this thread and they're actually pretty good. LO was an absolute nightmare with her teeth yesterday, I gave her one sachet this morning and she's been back to her old self all morning! :D

Thanks for the tip ladies xx

We ordered them online and had them delivered to Boots in store  No issues.

Were using the natural Nelsons Teetha stuff. Used the A&P with our first son, but when we needed more they had been re-called because a bad batch had been sent out (or so we were told) which is when we tried Nelsons. There brill, £5 something in boot's but worth every penny, and there a powder just like the A&P

Thanks ladies i think i'll give the boots ones a go, my lo dosn't seem to like nelsons.:baby:

Hi,

I managed to buy some A&P from the independent pharmacies, but I think that the company who manufactures them seem to have stopped supplying to them too as they tell me that they haven't had any in for some months now.

However, an alternative, which was recommended to me by my health visitor, was Anbesol liquid, I bought some from Boots, but you have to ask behind the counter for the one which is suitable for babies. It seems to do wonders too as my little one really does stop crying after applying it straight to her gum. Unlike the teething gels, this liquid form goes onto the gums and stays there!

Hope this helps.
