aspergers potty training at school after 6

my step son has aspergers and adhd and every time he goes to his mothers and comes home, he has an issue asking to go to the bathroom. like suddenly he's forgotten everything that he new how to do 2 days before. he only has an issue at school.

Dana I wish I had some advice. My son with asperger's and adhd (6 today!) is full of meltdowns and is just way more symptomatic when he comes home from his dad's house. It's probably how he is dealing with the disruption of his schedule and having to go from their rules to our rules etc. I don't know how to make that easier for him.

What we do is make sure he knows several days in advance that he is going and how long he'll be gone. SOmetimes if he is having a lot of anxiety over it I will call him in the evenings while he is there and reassure him he'll be home soon. I wish I had better advice for you. Hang in there and hopefully you can find a way to resolve this.
