did you find out what your twins were? Im pretty dissapointed that at my scan at 17 weeks 4 days my tech said she couldnt tell what my babies were. I have had 4 other children that I knew the sex at 16 weeks. Is it different for twins or did my tech not try hard enough?

with DS1 i had a scan at 18 weeks was difficult they thought boy but could not be 100% and went back at 22 weeks and could be 99.9% sure it was a boy. i remember them saying 20 weeks is the optimum time but anytime 18-22. not sure about twins as still waiting for the 20 week scan

I found out at 16 1/2 weeks with my twins and 17 weeks with my DD. So I just dont think tech tried hard enough. She could of at least given you a guess...geeze! But maybe they do that to cover their own butts

Fortunately I wanted to stay team yellow. It is the practice of my doctor's office to make a note of the genders on the chart even if the parents don't want to know. However, at both the 20 week ultrasound and the 30 week, neither baby would cooperate. So, long story short, I'm not sure how early they would have been able to know for sure. Thank you! thats exactly what I thought! well on the plus side she did tell me to come back in a couple of weeks and she would do it for me, that was nice of her.

I was able to find out one gender at 15wks.. the other one was not cooperating, so we didn't find out the other one until 19wks - so I guess it's possible she couldn't tell

i went for a scan yesterday and was gutted not to be able to find out what we are having !
i am 17 weeks tomorrow with identical twins and was expecting it to be easy to find out, but the tech was really struggling to find out, due to the twins position - they look like they are standing up inside of me !!
the tech kept trying to look - we were there for nearly an hour, but still no luck ! she did say she couldnt see anything dangling, but wouldnt stake her reputation on it !

i have another scan in 2 weeks, so fingers crossed for behaving babies then !!!

I found out at 16 weeks, but I did have a 3d scan. The hosp wouldn't tell me until 20 weeks but by then I already knew. x

My doctor's office seems pretty convinced that, so long as the babies are cooperating, they'll be able to tell the gender at 15 weeks (which is my next scan). They have really good machines, which probably helps.

We paid for a private scan at 17+1, just had their sexes confirmed again at 20+6 and they are still 2 girls
I would be gutted not to know, but I would rather they made a 95-100% guess than just having a stab at it. Hopefully you will both find out in a fortnight and the babies are being more co-operative. I do think alot depends on the skill and experience of the sonographer x

My tech made a guess of 2 girls at 16 weeks + 5 days, but said it wasn't for sure. We confirmed today atv20 weeks that it is 2 girls.

19 weeks. We asked the tech to confirm at 27 weeks, too.
