This thread may have already been done, sorry if I'm duplicating.
I had to wean early at 17 weeks, as Millie has to be confident with purees before her operation (which was supposed to be in March, but will now be in April). She is doing really well and she adores food, definitely prefers it to milk. Probably because it's easier for her. Her cleft palate means sucking milk from a bottle, even though she has special bottles, is hard work for her.
She is already on two puree meals a day and she loves it. She gets quite sad when it's all gone. She is just over 5 months now and she currently has lunch and dinner. I know she could easily eat breakfast too but I'm wary about introducing her third meal so early on. She has never been the best milk drinker and tends to drink the minimum amount most days. My worry is that if I introduce another meal, she may try to drop a milk feed which I really don't want.
I'm not sure when's best to start her on 3 meals. Advice please!
